DARK SUPREMACY exceeded expectations when fourth on debut at Sandown 3 weeks ago and with the fifth-place finisher that day winning recently, the form of that race looks solid. Expected to build on that, he could be the answer, for all there are several newcomers for leading yards in opposition, Spartan and Zabeel Express of particular interest.

Timeform Comments

Al Sham
Foaled February 15. Farhh colt. Half-brother to French 9f winner Poetic Dawn. Newcomer for leading connections so no surprise were he to make his presence felt.
Berkshire Regal (IRE)
Calyx colt. Half-brother to 10.4f winner Imbleville and 9.4f/1¼m winner Illois, dam French 9.5f-11f winner. No match for an odds-on shot in a Lingfield maiden on debut but he still showed plenty to beat the rest comfortably. Matched that form at Doncaster 3 weeks ago and he can make presence felt
Dark Supremacy (IRE)
Foaled April 1. £20,000 yearling (private sale), Supremacy colt. Half-brother to 3 winners, including useful 6f-8.6f winner Castle Hill Cassie and 2-y-o 5f winner Shaman Champion. Promise amidst greenness when fourth on Sandown debut 3 weeks ago and the fifth that day has won since. More to come.
Masai Land
Foaled February 26. Wootton Bassett colt. Half-brother to 3 winners, including useful 1¼m-11.5f winner Theory of Tides and 7f winner Regalian. One for shortlist on debut given connections.
Shareek
Foaled February 18. 150,000 gns yearling, Palace Pier colt. Half-brother to 2-y-o 7f winner Tactical Plan. Of obvious interest on debut given his appealing pedigree, though yard just saddles the solitary winning 2-y-o debutant this season.
Spartan
Foaled February 23. €280,000 2-y-o, Too Darn Hot colt. Dam, 1½m winner, half-sister to very smart 5f/6f winner Total Gallery. Ticks plenty of boxes on debut for leading stable.
Splintered
Foaled February 13. Cracksman colt. Dam 1¼m winner.
Zabeel Express (IRE)
Foaled March 24. €260,000 yearling, Saxon Warrior colt. Brother to useful winner up to 1m Thornbrook and half-brother to several winners, including smart winner up to 1¾m Micro Manage. Yard more than capable of readying a newcomer.
