Did well in handicaps in 2025, scoring twice over 7f. However, below par all 3 starts this season so hopes pinned on first crack at 1m and ease in grade helping her cause.
Piscean Star
Successful in a newcomers race over 7f here last summer. Mixed record since but his mark looks a bit more realistic now and profile on all-weather is more compelling. Tries 1m for the first time.
Bofa Beach
Third in 1m maiden on reappearance at Gowran before perhaps stretched by the longer trip next time. Always behind on handicap debut over 7f in August but helped new trainer complete a 1-2-3 in a race when second of 10 over C&D 12 days ago. Can go one place better.
Unionville
Found some improvement to score from 9 lb lower than in the spring in 6-runner event at this course (7f) last month, getting away with a wide trip thanks to the slack pace and showing the best turn of speed. Upped to 1m but surprisingly failed to travel with same zest when third here 3 weeks ago.
Eljowhary
Some encouragement in his qualifying runs, running to a fair level on his first 2 starts. Has beaten just one rival in 3 handicaps over longer trips so lots to prove, though 1m could help. Tongue strap on first time.
Footstepinthewoods (IRE)
Has responded well to positive tactics in recent months, off the mark in a handicap at Windsor in July and responded well when also successful at Bath 3 weeks ago. 3 lb rise won't prevent another bold bid if proving as effective on all-weather.
Wind Summer (IRE)
Much improved when springing a surprise from the front over C&D in 4 weeks ago, well ridden but displaying good battling qualities. Task is to now replicate that form.
Sail On Sailor
On the up this summer, completing the hat-trick at Epsom in July. Seemingly gone off the boil more recently, though, and others are more convincing.
Berkshire Boom (IRE)
Won 7f Chester maiden last summer. Rather expensive to follow in handicaps since but right back on his game when second over C&D 3 weeks ago, headed dying strides.
Chelio
Chased home a subsequent winner in a 7f handicap at Goodwood in June. Ran well returned to all-weather after 10 weeks off when third at Lingfield in August and shaped as though still in form held up in a steadily-run race when occupying same spot at Bath. One to consider.
