Timeform View

FLORAL MAID cemented the positive start made to her career when again finding only one too good in a Beverley maiden 3 weeks ago, doing well having never been far away from the strong gallop. She remains open to improvement now stepping up in trip and earns the vote on nursery debut. Turnstile relished softer ground when scoring at Ayr's Western Meeting and rates a big danger. Social Spirit and Prosperity Angel complete the shortlist.

Timeform Comments

Turnstile
Improvement looked to have stalled but following 9 weeks off/gelding operation, he duly stepped forward to make a winning nursery debut at Ayr (6f, soft), relishing the more testing conditions. Raised 4 lb on the back of that and he could have more to offer now he's up and running.
Social Spirit
Fair maiden who conjured some improvement back on softer ground for first time since June when second in 10-runner Carlisle nursery (6f) 4 weeks ago, headed post. Hit with a 3 lb rise but he's certainly not discounted with a repeat.
Floral Maid (IRE)
Calyx filly who continued her promising start when again finding only one too good in a Beverley maiden (5f) 3 weeks ago, doing well considering she was never far away from the strong gallop. Remains open to improvement with the step up to 6f a plus now handicapping.
Prosperity Angel
Showed benefit of her debut experience when off the mark in a 5f Thirsk maiden (5f) in August. Respectable efforts both outings since, hampered early when third of 7 on nursery debut at Hamilton (5f, soft) 2 weeks ago. Return to 6f will hold no fears and she's nicely berthed in stall 3.
Desert Smoke
Havana Grey filly who failed to progress from her debut effort in maiden/novice company but not seen to best effect equipped with blinkers (retained) when sixth of 9 on nursery debut at Musselburgh (5f) 23 days ago. Return to 6f rates a plus on that evidence and has been dropped 3 lb.
Rex Regum
Continued theme of race-by-race progress when second of 8 on nursery debut at Wolverhampton (6f) in August. Had little go right when seventh of 12 at Lingfield (6f) since (snatched up close home) and has a race in him from this sort of mark.
State Of Gold (IRE)
State of Rest filly who scored readily from the front on her handicap bow in 10-runner event at Beverley (7f, good) in August. Appeared to do too much in front when ninth of 10 in nursery at Carlisle (6f) since but well drawn to attack again here.
Kigali
Went the wrong way from promising start in maidens but proved he's not a lost cause switched to a nursery when second in 8-runner contest at Yarmouth (7f) 3 weeks ago. Needs to back that up now returned to 6f.
Classyfied
Not without promise in trio of quick-fire runs in maidens but proved easy to back and ran poorly when well held on nursery debut at Southwell (6f) 18 days ago, off bridle before most. Stable look to have much stronger claims with Turnstile.
