INCA shaped quite encouragingly on first run for his new yard when fourth at Worcester last month and could be the answer if building on that in a first-time tongue strap. Clever Relation could be the danger if not caught out by the shorter trip.

Timeform Comments

Jet Patrol (IRE)
Isn't the most robust, but put a poor run straight behind him when third in 13-runner handicap at Uttoxeter (2m, good) 3 weeks ago, finishing lame. Hood refitted and not sure to be suited by this step back up in trip.
Hillsin (IRE)
Has shown little since winning at Exeter last October, including after 11 weeks off at Newton Abbot in August. Could only consider if backed. NON RUNNER.
Ikigai Star (IRE)
Tumbled in weights since winning 4-runner event over C&D in May last year and failed to build on the promise of his last run when only seventh of 9 in 2½m handicap at Worcester latest.
Charlie My Boy (IRE)
Resumed from an 8-week break when runner-up at this venue here (20.7f) in May. However, failed to repeat that effort at Stratford and again ran below form at Fontwell last time. Tongue tie refitted.
Warner's Cross (IRE)
NON RUNNER.
Saucats (FR)
Returned to form to win from 4 lb out of the weights in 5-runner selling handicap hurdle at Newton Abbot (17f, good) last week, driven clear. Has more on his plate under a 7-lb penalty on first run for yard after leaving Joe Tickle.
Clever Relation
Fair Flat winner for Hughie Morrison. Made more impact than previously over hurdles when second of 6 in handicap at Fontwell (2¾m, good) 30 days ago, suited by increase in trip and also how the race developed. Has the same mark to work with but shorter distance might not be ideal.
Maestrow
Lightly-raced 4-y-o from good yard. Easy to back and fared little better than previously when down the field on handicap bow at Fontwell (19f) when last seen in June.
Inca (FR)
Shaped quite encouragingly on first run since leaving Clare Hobson when fourth of 9 in handicap hurdle at Worcester (2½m, good to soft) 26 days ago. Definite chance if building on that in a first-time tongue strap.
