DELPOTRO arrives in good form and there's every chance he could get away on the front end, especially if able to dictate, which tilts the vote in his favour over Datsalrightcharlie, who is likely to find this test on the sharp side. Mavis Pike retains potential as a chaser returning from a 10-month absence so warrants respect, particularly with the Twiston-Davies yard amongst the winners.

Reached a fairly useful level with 5 victories over hurdles. Yet to match that form over fences, though one of better efforts in this sphere when second of 5 at Uttoxeter (2½m) in July and easy to excuse latest run back down in trip at Market Rasen (17f).
Delpotro (FR)
Front runner who confirmed his return to form when third in 8-runner handicap at Sedgefield (19f, good to firm) in late August. Didn't go down without a fight once headed between the last 2 there and will be dangerous if allowed a soft lead.
Mavis Pike
Dual hurdles winner who was in the process of improving on her chasing debut when falling at the last at Fakenham (21.2f, good to soft) last October. Exited through no fault of her own at Warwick next time and retains potential back from 10 months off.
Start Again (IRE)
Maiden hurdle winner at Exeter last autumn and good third in Ascot novice next start. However, has shown little all 3 starts this season, including in this sphere, and hopes now pinned on first-time cheekpieces having the desired effect.
Datsalrightcharlie (IRE)
Landed the odds in a weak maiden on hurdling debut here in March 2025. Failed to kick on in that sphere last season but made an encouraging enough start over fences when third of 4 in 3m handicap here when last seen in March. Sure to win races but sharp 19f here has to be a concern.
