DASHING DICK has been cut plenty of slack by the handicapper and will appreciate the drop back in trip after a solid effort at Yarmouth last time. He makes most appeal. Shark Two One and Sir David ran well here last month and may provide the chief threat.

Timeform Comments

Dashing Dick (IRE)
C&D winner. Yet to score this year but has dropped to a handy mark and arrives on the back of respectable fifth of 14 in handicap at Yarmouth (1m, good) 19 days ago. Shortlist material.
Albeseeingyer
C&D winner but not scored since 2024 and needs to bounce back from below-par run at Carlisle (7f, good to soft) 27 days ago.
Folkene (FR)
Has drawn a blank since making a winning start for current yard at Newmarket (7f) last summer. Tumbled down the weights, though, and can't be discounted dropped back in grade here.
Moostar
On a lengthy losing run but has made the frame on several occasions off higher marks this year. Can make presence felt but others preferred for win purposes.
Soca Star (IRE)
Remains a maiden after 14 starts and added another placed effort to her portfolio latest, finishing third of 10 in handicap at Thirsk (7f, good) 22 days ago. May need some help from the assessor.
Eyes Front (IRE)
Posted a career best when belatedly off the mark at Epsom (7f) in July and back to that sort of form when creditable third of 13 in handicap at Kempton (7f) 13 days ago, running on. One of the likelier contenders.
Searchingtheblues
Responded well to headgear when second at Ffos Las in August but not built on that and losing run continues to grow.
Sir David (FR)
Tumbled down the weights and back on the scoreboard at Beverley in August. Ran to similar level when good neck second of 14 to Shark Two One in handicap over C&D (good to firm) 15 days ago. Enters calculations.
Snaafy
Successful in an all-weather nursery last winter and proved as good as ever when second at Pontefract (1m) in July. Rather gone backwards since, however, and no surprise to see headgear reached for.
Shark Two One
Goes well at this venue and was returning from 12 weeks off when taking 14-runner handicap (11/1) over C&D (good to firm) 15 days ago by neck from Sir David. Just 3 lb higher now and ought to go well again.
