Timeform View

MA FILLE DE REVE was much improved upped to this trip when second at Thirsk 3 weeks ago and can surely win a race like this on that showing. Windsor winner Holliesthedollie and Secret Rival are a couple of the other key players.

Timeform Comments

Dissenter (IRE)
Won 6f Chepstow maiden in July and wasn't seen to best effect having been a lot shorter in the betting back down in grade and trip in 6f Thirsk nursery 3 weeks ago. One to note under new rider.
Holliesthedollie
Improved with her sights lowered when opening account in 6f Windsor nursery 5 weeks ago, well placed and clear of the second who has won twice since. 5 lb rise within reach and should put up another bold showing.
Passerine (IRE)
Played up beforehand but took a step forward when 2½ lengths second of 7 in 5f Bath novice when last seen in May. That form has worked out well enough but she'll need to improve further to make an impact now handicapping after 5 months off.
Alfey Moon
Has shown a fair bit in 6f/7f events, up with the sound pace throughout when fourth here (7f) 4 months ago. That form is good and he could have more to offer now handicapping having been gelded.
Lady Of Hay
Well-bred filly who has shaped encouragingly in 5f Wolverhampton nurseries the last twice. Will benefit from this return to 6f and could take a hand.
Blue Sign
Posted fair effort in the Albany at Royal Ascot but has rather gone backwards since. Bred to stay a lot further than this and opposable from high draw on handicap debut.
Moriarty Moon
Modest maiden who attracted support but didn't fare much better in a first-time visor in 6f Catterick nursery 4 weeks ago. Another 2 lb drop not enough to tempt.
Goodwood Meteor
Well held in 6f novices (briefly looked reluctant but at no stage unduly punished at Salisbury 8 weeks ago). Has been gelded and could do better now handicapping.
Bossy Angel
Caught the eye in 6f Windsor novice on her third start but her form has stalled rather than progressed, always behind on handicap debut here (7f, Honeymoon Bear fourth) 4 weeks ago.
Honeymoon Bear (IRE)
Has shown just a modest level of ability, doing quite a lot of running to get into the picture when beaten around 3 lengths on nursery debut here (7f) 4 weeks ago. That race has worked out quite well.
Dream On Kent
Twice runner-up in June but hasn't progressed in nurseries (tried blinkered when beaten 7 lengths at Thirsk latest). Tricky to fancy even with Billy Loughnane up.
Secret Rival (IRE)
Is still learning but ran her best race to place for the first time when third in 6f Southwell nursery 3 weeks ago, having to switch towards far side final 1f but keeping on. Has got more to offer if able to brush up on her starts.
Ma Fille De Reve
Well backed for nursery debut and much improved when ¾-length second of 16 at Thirsk (6f) 3 weeks ago, pulling clear of the rest, including a couple of today's rivals. 4 lb rise fair and can win one of these on that showing.
So Tempting
Beaten just a head by subsequent winner on handicap debut at Chepstow (6f) in July but hasn't progressed, nearest finish in first-time tongue tie in strongly-run Bath nursery last week. Looks vulnerable.
Blue Fox (IRE)
Hasn't beaten a rival in 3 novices.
