It could be worth chancing SEVEN QUESTIONS before the benefit of market clues. The 2024 Palace House winner has found life tough since landing a gamble at Goodwood in May but has dropped to a career-low mark consequently and could be set for a revival with Billy Loughnane up back at a track where he won easily on his only other visit. Forager came clear readily at Bath last week and has obvious claims under a penalty. Ziggy's Triton and Brummell are a couple of the other key players.

Timeform Comments

Germanic (IRE)
Successful at Newcastle in November and January but has returned to turf with 2 heavy defeats. First go in a 0-85 and has a bit to prove.
Ziggy's Triton (IRE)
Successful twice this year, taking advantage of a drop into this grade at York in July. Back to his best when ½-length second to a lightly-raced one ahead of his mark in a similar event at Southwell a fortnight ago, and not beaten far at Redcar on Saturday. Can go well again.
Tiva (IRE)
Won 5f handicaps at Musselburgh and Doncaster (under this claimer) this summer and latest run at Ripon can be ignored (raced alone on far side from low draw). Wouldn't dismiss.
Brummell (IRE)
Back in top form and was a shade unlucky to lose his unbeaten record at Beverley 3 weeks ago, having to wait for a gap over 1f out and collared at the death. Back up 3 lb (last win off this mark) and can go well from stall 1.
Quantum Power (IRE)
Completed a hat-trick in 5f handicaps on firm/good to firm ground this summer and might have needed his recent run at Newmarket (6f) after 7 weeks off. Could show more back over the minimum trip now.
Seven Questions (IRE)
2024 Palace House winner has struggled since scoring at Goodwood (5f) in May, but down in class now having dropped to a career-low mark and was successful on his only other run at Leicester. A revival could be imminent under Billy Loughnane.
Forager
Confirmed previous promise and produced a career-best effort to notch a fifth success in clear-cut fashion in 5f Bath handicap last week. Serious player under a penalty.
Almaty Star (IRE)
Made all at Yarmouth in April and best effort since when going close at Lingfield penultimate start. Never involved from worst of the draw at York 10 weeks ago and could fare better here back from a break.
Desert Treasure
Won both her starts at 2 yrs and best effort this season when second of 6 from an unpromising position in handicap at Lingfield (5f, all-weather) in August. Easy to back and not so good at Beverley next time, however.
Straight Ahead
Won back-to-back 5f nurseries at Newcastle to end 2025. Form mixed this year, going close at Thirsk and Beverley this summer but not so good in 2 runs 24 hours apart last month (wore first-time cheekpieces latest). More needed.
Winchurch (IRE)
Successful on his only other run here and has won 3 times at a lower level this year, including at Nottingham in July. Has struggled in better company last 3 starts (one of the first off the bridle in refitted cheekpieces at Ripon latest). Others preferred.
