Timeform View

OXFORD CIRCUS failed to meet market expectations starting out for James Owen but he did have an excuse and from this basement mark, he's well worth siding with. Berning Hot and Burford Beauty (starting out for an up-and-coming stable) are definite threats.

King David traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Havana Halo
Low-mileage filly who posted her best effort of the season when second of 5 in 6f handicap at Windsor in April. Could manage only mid-field over the same C&D a month later and cheekpieces are now reached for eased in class.
Berning Hot (IRE)
Shaped better than the result over C&D in August and off the mark for the season back here 19 days later. Continued the very good work when second returned to 1m at Lingfield (all-weather) and no reason why she won't get involved again.
Burford Beauty (IRE)
Failed to win a race for Gavin Cromwell in Ireland but shaped well a few times in better races than this one. Joined a capable stable and market will be informative on return from 73 days off.
Havana Mojito
All 3 career victories at Brighton and runner-up 3 times here this season. Also found only one too strong at Doncaster in July but a couple of shockers have followed since. Visor replaces blinkers.
Redredrobin
Losing run dates back over 2 years and more miss than hit in 2026, albeit one of her 2 runner-up efforts was gained over this C&D. Big price and dropped away on recent stable debut. Visor now fitted.
The Organiser
Showed a willing attitude when off the mark for this yard in a 6f handicap here in September 2025. Dropped in the weights, so really should be a factor but was brushed aside here in August. Given a short break.
King David (IRE)
Sole win came in 2024 but 2 runner-up efforts over 1m at this track in recent weeks confirm he's very competitive at this level. Last week's C&D fifth was just a respectable run, though.
Barnsnape Boy
Resumed winning ways in classified event over C&D in June but not been in same form since. Cheekpieces back on returned to handicap company.
Edergole's Gift (IRE)
Chelmsford winner from higher mark a year ago. Rather in-and-out since and profile is a slightly more compelling one on all-weather.
Oxford Circus (IRE)
Won at Dundalk in February before losing way in headgear on turf after. Never looked like justifying support starting out for James Owen at Lingfield but reportedly resented the kickback and is well worth another chance.
