An interesting race and with this trip looking more suitable for CAPTAIN RYAN MATT than the Willie Mullins-trained pair Road To Home (sets a useful standard) and Chart Topper, he could be the answer sent chasing.

Timeform Comments

Captain Ryan Matt (IRE)
Much improved when notching second hurdles success at Tramore on New Year's Day and he backed that up when fourth of 21 at the Aintree Festival. Needs taking very seriously on chase bow for his successful stable.
Chart Topper (FR)
Was in the process of running a cracker when falling in Pertemps Qualifier at Haydock in February. Cheekpieces quickly discarded after a heavy defeat at Cheltenham and right back on his game when third in a deeper handicap at Aintree. One of 2 Mullins runners and he's a useful recruit.
Kainsbourg (FR)
Fairly useful hurdler, successful twice early last season at up to 2½m and also second in the Grade 2 Persian War at Chepstow. Beaten by more than lack of stamina for 3m on chase debut in June but he's definitely in the right hands and now goes back in distance.
Karl Des Tourelles (FR)
Winless since debut back in 2024 but plenty of useful efforts to his name over hurdles. Not quite at that level over fences last season and he looks vulnerable.
Minella Sixo (IRE)
Left Gordon Elliott after finishing mid-division in a handicap hurdle at the Punchestown Festival in April and was always behind returned to fences at Sligo.
Road To Home (IRE)
Has yet to win over fences but went very close with an excellent neck second of 23 to Ask Brewster in Kim Muir at Cheltenham (3¼m) and more than matched that form when third in another valuable handicap at Sandown in the spring. Drops markedly in trip for reappearance.
Some Song (IRE)
Was fortunate when winning a maiden hurdle at Down Royal last season. Got back on track following a break when sixth on his handicap debut at Fairyhouse in April. Successful on his only start in points but he was never really a factor sent chasing at Listowel.
Timesareachanging (IRE)
Point winner who made a successful start over hurdles in 12-runner Navan maiden (2¾m, heavy) in January. Better form when second at Navan and better than bare facts of Ayr run in April. Should do well over the larger obstacles.
Westoftignes (IRE)
Improved when second at Gowran in February on his final start for Adrian Murray and went one better on first outing for John McConnell at Wexford the following month. Switched yards again after but just mid-field in a handicap at this venue in July. Lacks the class of a few of these now chasing.
