Timeform View

Not as competitive as the numbers suggest and ROYAL COUNTY GLORY is well worth forgiving a lesser effort on turf at Brighton and taken to bounce back in style returned to polytrack with Oisin Murphy in the saddle. Seeing Stars also goes well here and this C&D winner rates the chief threat ahead of Cixi and Upsomdowns.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Upsomdowns traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP twice and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 3 of its last 5 starts: For Ever Hopefull has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 3 starts.

Timeform Comments

Royal County Glory (IRE)
Ex-Irish recruit. On the up for new yard when landing a pair of 7f all-weather handicaps at Lingfield recently. Only ninth of 10 in handicap at Brighton (7f, good) 9 days ago but no surprise to see him go well back on all-weather with Oisin Murphy up.
Seeing Stars
Landed a C&D maiden in January and made a solid start in handicaps with a trio of in-frame efforts. Back to form with sixth of 14 over C&D 4 weeks ago so needs considering.
Because We Can (IRE)
Free-going sort who was successful in a first-time visor at Wolverhampton in January. Off 6 months, not disgraced with fifth of 9 in handicap at Southwell (7f) 13 days ago, racing closer to pace than ideal. Possibilities with that run under his belt.
Cixi (USA)
Very good third in C&D maiden in May for Michael Bell. Below par subsequently until a resurgent third of 10 for her new yard in handicap at Brighton (7f, good) 9 days ago. Considered.
Mojito
Made a winning return at Doncaster (7f) in April. However, she hasn't gone on from that effort in 4 subsequent outings. Blinkers go on for first time with plenty to prove.
Senor Campanaro (IRE)
Ended 2025 with 7f success at Newcastle in December. Little show subsequently until second of 7 in handicap at Ffos Las in June on his final run for Ed Walker. Needs to back it up for his new yard after a break.
Black Endeavour (IRE)
Resumed winning ways at Doncaster (6f) in June. Not proved easy to catch right since, though forced wide early when ninth of 11 in 6f handicap here 2 weeks ago. Cheekpieces go on for first time.
Station Bar
Got off the mark in 3-runner Bath handicap in May but has failed to build on it, not looking totally cooperative on occasions, including when tried in headgear. Others are preferred.
For Ever Hopefull (IRE)
Modest form shown in her 3 runs to date, third of 6 in maiden at Lingfield (7f, all-weather) last month. More needed now going into handicaps.
Upsomdowns
Back to form with fourth of 13 in handicap over C&D 2 weeks ago. Not out of things off a 2 lb lower mark in his bid for a maiden success.
Oddjob (IRE)
Showed promise when a debut fourth in 7f Wolverhampton novice in July but has twice failed to build on it, only seventh of 12 back there (6f) 22 days ago. This well-related Starman colt could still do better on handicap debut.
Surgeon Commander (IRE)
Gained a third win at Newcastle (all 7f) in June. Off 2 months and below par in 6f handicaps at Southwell and back at Newcastle since. More is needed.
Barbuda Bay
Reacted well to blinkers when third over 1m at Lingfield (all-weather) in August but the headgear failed to work as well back there next time. A visor is tried now in her bid for a maiden victory.
Credit Forgedd It (IRE)
Yet to win but largely running well for current yard until running poorly in first-time cheekpieces at Leicester (7f, good to firm) 16 days ago. Could bounce back with headgear quickly discarded.
