Timeform View

VIOLET GOLDSMITH rates the pick of the weights and with this return to 1m a positive she is fancied to resume winning ways. Mbappe hasn't been at his best this summer but Billy Loughnane takes the ride for the first time since his C&D success in the winter so merits consideration, especially if the market vibes are positive. Hat-trick seeking Snooker McCrew can also have a say.

Timeform Comments

Divine Wish
Showed fair form in 2 maidens over 7f here to start this year and ran to a similar level when fourth on handicap debut here in May. Off 4 months before finishing last of 14 in 7f handicap here last time though, so has a bit to prove now.
Forca Timao (IRE)
Thirteen runs since last win in 2025 and only eighth of 9 in handicap at Leicester (1¼m, good) 29 days ago, soon beaten. Others appeal more.
Snooker Mccrew
Gained a first of 2026 over C&D in September and quickly followed up in 12-runner handicap at Beverley (1¼m, good to firm) 15 days ago. Up 5 lb but a player in his hat-trick bid.
Pitney (IRE)
Eighteen runs since last win in 2024 but in good nick when last seen on the track, fifth of 11 in handicap at Lingfield (1m, all-weather) in June. Not out of things after a break.
Violet Goldsmith
Got off the mark at Chepstow (1m) in July and in good form since, refitted in cheekpieces when a keeping-on sixth of 14 back at 7f at Leicester 16 days ago. This return to 1m should suit and she's weighted to go well.
Our Dagger (IRE)
Scored at Newcastle (7f) and over 7f here for Daragh Bourke early last year. Well held both runs for Gerard Kyne at Galway last autumn and for current yard over C&D and at Ffos Las this season.
Blue Samuna (IRE)
Failed to go on for Jane Chapple-Hyam and yet to fire in handicaps at Newmarket (6f) and Lingfield (7f, all-weather) for her new yard this summer. Needs to step forward.
Makes Me Wonder
Sole success came at Yarmouth (1m) last spring. Has largely held his form well since, though well held in first-time cheekpieces back at Yarmouth (1m, good) 20 days ago. The sort to bounce back.
Chico Dulce
Both career victories have come on all-weather at Lingfield. In decent form this season until a below-par sixth of 8 tried in cheekpieces back at Lingfield (1m, all-weather) 25 days ago. Headgear is quickly dispensed with.
Brave New World (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden. Only eighth of 12 in handicap here (11f) 4 weeks ago. Has plenty to find on form.
Mbappe
Scored over C&D in January (for today's rider) but hasn't been able to get involved on all 5 starts since returning from 5 months off. Mark eased further though and well worth a market check with Billy Loughnane now back in the saddle.
Jackson Street (IRE)
Winless this season and he arrives below par, just fifth of 9 in 7f handicap at Wolverhampton 16 days ago. Others are preferred.
Celtic John (IRE)
Opened his account in classified event at Lingfield (1m, all-weather) in January. Bounced back to form with second of 10 to Snooker Mccrew over C&D 23 days ago. Needs to back it up now.
