DUKE'S COMMAND looked back in form at Southwell 2 weeks ago and is capable of scoring for the first time in 2026 from this reduced mark. 3-y-os Tamzan and Quisana both arrive on the back of positive placed efforts and also make appeal.

Timeform Comments

Duke's Command
Won 3 times in 2025, with latest victory over 1¼m at Lingfield in December. Stepped up on return from a 5-month break to finish a creditable third of 9 in handicap at Southwell (1m) 15 days ago. Shortlist material from a mark 5 lb below his last winning one.
Treasure Time
Dual winner during a steadily progressive 2024. However, seen only 4 times for William Haggas last season and failed to beat a rival making debut for this yard after a year off in a 17-runner handicap at Doncaster (1m, good) 25 days ago. This should reveal more.
Darkness (FR)
Won 7f Goodwood handicap last summer. Ran well from a slipping mark when sixth of 18 in the Golden Mile at the Glorious meeting there and hasn't really been seen to maximum effect under customary hold-up tactics since. Can give a good account, but others rate more likely winners.
Carron (IRE)
Three-time scorer in 2025 who raised his game further for George Boughey this year, resuming winning ways at Newcastle (1m) in March and back on the up when second at Yarmouth (1m) in June. Hasn't beaten a rival on either start for this yard, though, so plenty to prove.
Dhahabi (IRE)
Smart at best but lightly raced in recent times and well held in a quartet of 1¼m handicaps for Ian Williams this summer.
Dark Whisper (FR)
Got off the mark at the third attempt in 1m Ffos Las maiden in June but proved a disappointment on his handicap bow when beating only 2 home at Goodwood (1¼m, good to firm) following month. Drop back in trip not certain to suit after short break.
King Of Thunder
Much improved when doubling his tally over 7f at Chester last month and ran respectably having been raised 5 lb to this career-high mark at the same C&D (heavy) the following week. Still fresher than most at this time of year.
Tamzan
Has had a good year, winning Beverley maiden and a Leicester handicap this summer. Progressed when beaten only by another improving 3-y-o in a 13-runner handicap at Leicester (1m, good to firm, 9/1) 16 days ago. Not taken lightly after 2 lb rise.
Quisana (IRE)
Fairly useful filly who won a C&D maiden in August and has performed with credit in a pair of 1¼m handicaps since, succumbing late only to a stronger stayer after setting strong fractions at Leicester (1¼m, good) 29 days ago.
