Useful hurdler but below that level over fences. Didn't fire in 2 runs for new yard 6 months apart last season and his mark looks stiff now handicapping in this sphere back from a breathing operation.
Snipe (IRE)
Two hunter chase wins this year and also a creditable sixth in the Aintree Foxhunter in April. Better for comeback and just failed in 3-runner handicap at Warwick (25f) a fortnight ago. Got to be respected after that.
King Roly
Back on track of late, resuming winning ways in C&D handicap in August in first-time blinkers. Foiled by a stablemate delivered later at Cartmel last time but went like the best horse at the weights and could be up to defying a career-high mark.
Karnaval Point (FR)
Quick off the mark for new yard when winning here (2½m) and at Uttoxeter earlier this season. Good run at Cartmel (held by King Roly on that form) in August but 2 heavy defeats have followed.
Awaythelad (IRE)
Won 3m Southwell handicap chase in March 2025. Didn't fire in 3 runs last season but returns off last successful mark for in-form yard and could go well.
Badbury Rings
On the up in 3m handicap hurdles when last seen in February 2025, winning at Wincanton and Taunton. Long absence to overcome but should make up into a chaser (has a pointing background).
