Timeform View

CRYSTALATE looked unlucky not to win at Southwell in May having been repeatedly hampered, so she's taken to gain compensation. Dundee Law has transferred to the Skeltons and could well have more to offer in the bumper sphere, while Royalty Row'd and winning pointer Lower De Couely are others to consider.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Crystalate traded at a low of 3.30 and Betfair SP of 3.16 when losing last time, a race in which it raced towards the rear.

Timeform Comments

Lucky Bailly (FR)
Showed little in a brace of bumpers last season.
Rob Farmer
Jack Hobbs gelding who looked very green when fifth of 7 in bumper at Uttoxeter (2m, good to soft) on debut in July.
Royalty Row'd (IRE)
Soldier of Fortune gelding who showed plenty when third of 8 in 2m Perth bumper on debut in May. Failed to take a step forward at Market Rasen the following month but wasn't ideally placed and is worth another chance back from a break (had breathing operation).
Whiteoak Duffy
Shaped as if better for the run when down the field in a bumper (13/2) at Bangor (17f, good to firm) on debut/sole start for Donald McCain in June 2025.
Arising Hill
Frammassone gelding. Dam lightly raced over hurdles. Makes very little appeal on paper.
Dundee Law
From the family of Champion Hurdle winner Punjabi and improved on his debut form when second of 4 in a Carlisle bumper (17f, good) in March. Has since left Stuart Crawford's yard and could well have more to offer in this sphere.
Himayta
Telescope gelding. Half-brother to fair 2m hurdle winner Captain Bellamy, stays 2¾m, and fair hurdler/chase winner Gentle Frank. Dam (h85), temperamental maiden hurdler, half-sister to jumps winner up to 2¾m (including multiple US Grade 1 events) Hirapour. Has temperament in his pedigree.
Mick The Yank (IRE)
Nirvana Du Berlais gelding. Dam, placed once on Flat in France, sister to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser (stayed 3m) Belargus and bumper winner/useful 17f hurdle winner Boldog. In good hands and requires a market check.
Lower De Couely (FR)
No Risk At All mare. Sister to a winner on Flat and half-sister to 3 winners, including French chaser Kuflower de Couely. Easy winner of sole start in Irish points (May 2026) and one to note in the betting now switching to Rules.
Crystalate (IRE)
Crystal Ocean filly who shaped even better than first time out for Tom Weston when finishing joint second in a 10-runner Southwell bumper in May, looking unlucky not to win having been repeatedly hampered. Fancied to gain compensation.
