Timeform View

MY CUBBY BEAR returned to form when second in a 6f handicap at Cork last week and may well be up to going one better back in maiden company, especially if the standard-setter Almeiyda underperforms once again. Lilli's Angel has a progressive profile which must count for something in an ordinary race, while Port Arthur is another who merits consideration.

Timeform Comments

Astute Power (IRE)
Remains with just one standout effort, though was left poorly placed when down the field in 21-runner handicap here (5f) latest.
Dreaminthejungle (IRE)
Second of 8 in barrier trial at Naas and showed some promise in a pair of 6f Curragh maidens 10 months apart. Underperformed at Cork when last seen in May but may bounce back after a break.
What's Enough (IRE)
Sent off 150/1 in a hood for belated debut but showed some ability when third of 7 in maiden at Bellewstown (5f, soft) on debut last week. Longer trip likely to suit.
Kula Bula Boyo (IRE)
Well beaten in a trio of maidens, including in first-time blinkers last time.
Metallic (IRE)
Has an excellent pedigree but has made a most discouraging start to his career.
Port Arthur (IRE)
Ran up to best when second of 11 in maiden at the Curragh (6f, heavy) 10 days ago, seemingly sharpened up by first-time blinkers. Remains to be seen if the headgear works as well this time.
Blessed By Faith (IRE)
Cotai Glory filly. Dam 6f winner (including at 2 yrs). Market likely best guide to expectations ahead of belated debut.
Almeiyda (IRE)
Fairly useful maiden who sets the standard on her earlier form but is proving a little frustrating now, finishing third of 17 in a first-time visor at Fairyhouse (good, 8/1) 16 days ago.
Lilli's Angel (IRE)
Improved again when fourth of 16 in maiden (12/1) at Cork (6f, good to soft) 38 days ago, faring best of those held up. Needs more again but that's feasible given the way her form is heading.
My Cubby Bear (IRE)
Returned to form back on turf when second of 8 in 6f handicap at Cork (heavy) 8 days ago, albeit no match for winner. Merits consideration back in maiden company.
Right On Time (IRE)
Unfortunately filly. Closely related to 5f winner Gift In Time and half-sister to 5f/6f winner Step Back In Time. Dam unraced. Check the market for clues.
Rosanella
Offered little setting out in a hood when eleventh of 17 in maiden at Fairyhouse (7f, good) 16 days ago.
Tribal Belle (IRE)
Well held in a pair of maidens. Tongue strap on for first time and looks one for low-grade handicaps after this run.
