Timeform View

PURE GRANITE is lightly raced for his age and made more impact when fourth at Punchestown on his return from 10 months off. Entitled to strip fitter, he can build on that and open his account. Pebble Island rates the main danger if reproducing the form of his Fairyhouse second in June, while Patrick Street and Charlie Brow'n are also respected.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Marambo traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts: Searcog has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Dark Summit
Winner in France whose sole placing in 9 starts this year came on final start for Denis Hogan when third in a 10.5f claimer at Sligo in August. Reverted to type back in handicap company on debut for current yard last time. Leap of faith required for all he's tackling 0-60 company for the first time.
Charlie Brow'n (FR)
Off the mark at this course (1¾m, soft) last autumn. Arrives on the back of some respectable efforts and can go well, especially if the mud is flying.
Mr Perth (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden who shaped very well on handicap debut at Galway in July. Hasn't kicked on in 2 subsequent efforts.
Nottooshabby (IRE)
Had been brought along with handicaps in mind in 1m/9f maidens but didn't get home upped to 1½m at Listowel on handicap bow. Should have more to offer now back at a more suitable trip.
Miss Crinshawn (IRE)
Maiden who posted several solid in-frame efforts in spring/early-summer but arrives on the back of 2 poor efforts and may have gone off the boil for the time being.
Marambo (IRE)
In frame twice in polytrack maidens in late-2025, but has made no impact in a trio of turf handicaps this year. Steps back up in trip.
Ballaghkeen (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden. Attracted support after 11 months off and caught eye when sixth of 21 in C&D handicap last month. Failed to build on that next time but still early days and a 3 lb drop coupled with a return to this track can only be viewed as positives.
Patrick Street
Back to winning ways when narrowly taking 12-runner minor event at Ayr (1¼m, good, 11/2) in August and turned in an even better effort when length third of 14 to Chloe's Boy at Punchestown. Not seen to best effect over hurdles since and the step back up to 1¼m will suit.
Pebble Island
Back in cheekpieces when a resurgent second of 17 in handicap at Fairyhouse (1½m) in June but wasn't in quite the same form at Down Royal next time and well held in 3 quick races over hurdles subsequently. Drops back in trip on return from 75-day break. One to consider.
Chloe's Boy (IRE)
Opened his account in similar event at Punchestown (9f) in September. Failed to repeat that effort back up in trip last time and first-time blinkers now replace cheekpieces.
Searcog (IRE)
Fully exposed as modest in this sphere but posted another respectable effort when 7 lengths fourth of 11 to Maxwell Smart in extended 1½m handicap at Bellewstown 6 days ago.
Prom Queen (IRE)
Improved a touch in getting off the mark at the eighth attempt in 13-runner handicap at Gowran (13.5f, soft) in April but was ridden too aggressively when down the field in similar event at Roscommon following month. Returns from 142-day break with yard back among the winners. Worth a market check.
Dress Dance (IRE)
Took a step forward in first-time cheekpieces/tongue strap after 4 months off when beaten only 3 lengths in steadily run 1m handicap at this course in September. Was well beaten at Punchestown last time, though, and needs to bounce back.
Pure Granite (IRE)
Turned in his best effort since tackling handicaps when 1¾ lengths fourth of 14 to Chloe's Boy at Punchestown on return from 10-month absence. Entitled to build on that and should be thereabouts if doing so.
Roderick
Runner-up in 1m handicap at Gowran in June. Wasn't seen to best effect when mid-field over same C&D last month after 12 weeks off. Back up in trip with first-time visor.
Morning Approach (IRE)
Twenty-two runs since last win in 2024, but left the impression she should have finished much closer from her career-low mark and back up in trip when 13¼ lengths thirteenth of 21 to Millhone in C&D handicap last time, headway when denied a run over 1f out.
Share The Treasure (IRE)
Sole success came at this course (1¾m) last year. Below form all 3 starts this season, again failing to see her race out on latest.
