Timeform View

DUCHESS ANNE has responded well to positive rides this year, going closer than she ever has when finishing a neck second at Punchestown 23 days ago. She could well prove tough to peg back returned to a shorter trip and earns the vote. Glamazon also ran well on her latest outing and is feared for a new yard, with Princess Chloe and last year's winner Queen Aethelflaed others to consider.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Duchess Anne traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 25% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts: Elusive In Mayo has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 3 starts.

Timeform Comments

Queen Aethelflaed (IRE)
Won this 12 months ago and built on previous promise this season when scoring at Gowran (1m) in June before shaping well at Leopardstown. Down the field next 2 starts but had excuses for a lesser run back at Gowran 19 days ago (did too much too soon). Not discounted returned to 1m.
Covert Legend
Boasts just the one win from 26 starts and he produced a low-key debut effort for new trainer at Fairyhouse (7f) 17 days ago. Usual cheekpieces/tongue strap quickly reapplied.
Glamazon (IRE)
Finally off the mark in first-time cheekpieces in maiden at Ballinrobe in May. Mixed record since but responded well to first-time visor when finishing close-up third at Punchestown (9f) 23 days ago. Changed hands (9,000 gns) since and she's one of the likelier types.
Princess Chloe (IRE)
Maiden who has made a sound enough start for her new yard, visored first time when third of 16 in handicap at Gowran (1m, soft) 3 weeks ago, that despite not being ideally placed. Headgear discarded and likely she has a small race of this nature within her grasp.
Miss Glenville (IRE)
Lightly-raced mare who confirmed she retains ability following 20 months off (equipped with cheekpieces/tongue strap) when fifth of 14 in handicap at Clonmel (1¼m, good, 50/1) 22 days ago. Feasible to think she can build on that here.
Elusive In Mayo (IRE)
Little short-term encouragement in 3 maidens. Does now get a crack at handicaps tackling a much shorter trip but would need to see support to be of interest.
Grey Intentions (IRE)
Yet to trouble the judge in 6 attempts, including tried in blinkers over longer trip at Sligo latest. Tongue strap on first time. Makes limited appeal.
Chou Chou (IRE)
Dual winner last summer who, having eased in weights, gave best only to a pair that were better positioned when third at Navan (1m) at the start of last month. His subsequent Clonmel display was rather underwhelming, though, and bounce back called for in new headgear.
Prada's World (IRE)
Posted her best effort when third of 16 in a Galway nursery for Christopher Timmons in 2024. However, seen only twice for current yard, always behind after 16 months off at Naas just under 7 weeks ago. Back up in trip.
Aghadrum Boy (IRE)
Minor promise initially in maidens at around this trip this summer but easy to back and made no impact switched to a handicap at Navan 5 weeks ago.
Saith Seren
Still looking for first success but posted another respectable effort when sixth of 10 in handicap at Laytown (7f) 28 days ago. Each-way claims.
Duchess Anne (IRE)
Has responded well to positive rides this season, going close to a first win at Punchestown (9f) 23 days ago. Best efforts have come over a little further than this but she commands obvious respect nevertheless.
Tariff (IRE)
Still a maiden but advanced his form with ½-length third in a big-field handicap at Cork (7f, soft) on penultimate start. Not in quite the same form when sixth of 15 at Listowel since but it remains early days with him.
Ramair (IRE)
Promise in Dundalk handicaps earlier this year but gone backwards since.
Desert Swing (IRE)
Make Believe gelding who ran to a modest level on first 2 starts in maidens and finished well held on qualifying run at the Curragh (1¼m) 12 days ago. Switch to handicaps in his favour with cheekpieces now replacing visor. RESERVE.
La Campanella (IRE)
Relatively lightly-raced 4-y-o who posted one of her better recent efforts when 3 lengths fourth of 15 in handicap at Bellewstown (1m) in August. Disappointed in a change of headgear (visored) at Roscommon (7.4f, good to soft) 38 days ago. Blinkers now tried. RESERVE.
Master Garvey (IRE)
Infrequent winner who has been operating below his best on all-weather/turf in recent starts. Others more persuasive. RESERVE.
