WAY DOWN SOUTH arrives fit from the Flat and looks capable of making an impact back in this sphere from his current mark. Brave Josee rates the main danger on her Sligo second in June, while Nirisque should have more to offer now handicapping.

Timeform Comments

Jacko Star (IRE)
Promise when making the frame all 3 starts in maidens but has disappointed in a pair of handicaps, fitted with a hood when well-beaten fourth of 7 at Punchestown in February. Needs to get back on track after 8 months off.
Nirisque (FR)
Second in fillies juvenile hurdle at Compiegne in April 2025 for N. George & A. Zetterholm. Best effort for current connections when runner-up in maiden at this course in spring. Likely to be sharper for last run and should have more to offer now tackling a handicap in first-time tongue tie.
Way Down South (IRE)
Won a Cork maiden chase in January and placed in handicaps at Limerick (21.5f) and Cork (19f) back hurdling this spring. Arrives fit from the Flat and is one to consider returned to this sphere with tongue tie back on
Kayla's Friend (IRE)
Improved on her previous efforts under Rules in a first-time tongue strap when making a successful handicap debut in 12-runner event at Uttoxeter (2½m, good to soft) in June for Olly Murphy. Below form upped in trip last time and now makes debut for new yard.
That's About Right (IRE)
Hasn't shown his best for a while and continues to fall in the weights over fences without showing much sign of taking advantage. Potentially well treated back over hurdles but supporters are required to take a notable leap of faith.
Brave Josee (FR)
Produced best effort to date when 2¾ lengths second of 15 to Larkins Lane at Sligo in June. Failed to back up the following month, though. Returns from 97-day break with yard in good order and should be suited by the step back up in trip.
Ray Gun (USA)
Fair winner on the Flat for Jamie Osborne in Britain but hasn't offered much over hurdles for current yard. Blinkers back on.
Lost Features (IRE)
Showed more than previously when fifth of 15 in handicap hurdle at Ballinrobe (2¾m, good, 66/1) in July. Failed to back that up last time. Races from 7 lb out of the handicap.
