WHITEWINEWEDNESDAY goes off the same mark as when landing a Sedgefield handicap hurdle under Patrick Mullins last week so this former point winner looks sure to make a bold bid if taking to fences. Walk In The Valley is another with a pointing background and the fact his good second in a course handicap hurdle last November came off a 9-month lay-off suggests his absence since may not be an issue.

Second start for Willie Mullins when a narrow winner of a 2½m Sedgefield handicap hurdle last week under owner-rider Patrick Mullins. Has switched to another top yard since. Obvious chance off same mark if taking to new discipline (point winner).
Blue Du Neuf (FR)
Modest form at best in bumpers/maiden hurdles for Stuart Crawford. New yard, which acquired him for £8,000 in May, switches him to fences for his handicap debut.
Walk In The Valley (IRE)
Stoutly bred sort who showed improved form when second of 7 in a 21f course handicap hurdle last November (his only start of last season). Off 10 months ahead of chase debut (placed in point) but he's evidently capable when fresh.
Cap Ricochet
Runner-up in a junior hurdle at Hexham in spring 2025 (final start for Paul Collins). Failed to cut much ice in handicap hurdles last season but Brian Hughes is booked for this chase debut/reappearance. Worth a second look in betting.
Hiero Sport (FR)
Dual winner over hurdles at this sort of trip but below-par fifth on his completed start over fences in recent months.
Glance At Me
No impact in 2 handicap hurdles since recently returning from a long absence. It remains to be seen whether a switch to fences improves matters.
