It's hard to get away from SPOT ON SOPH, who is unpenalised for an emphatic double success at Southwell last week. The fly in the ointment could be Spit Spot, while Leave Her To Me should be thereabouts if building on last time.

Timeform Comments

Spot On Soph (IRE)
Smooth traveller who likes it here. Landed a solid mares handicap on return at Sedgefield. Emphatically followed up under this claimer (2-2) in a thin race at Southwell (2½m) 7 days ago. Can overcome the step up in trip to land a hat-trick off same mark (yard has 28% jumps strike rate since July).
Spit Spot
Hasn't fired since completing a Perth double (3m) off 7 lb higher mark this time last year. Needs a close look with sights significantly lowered, though, having been successful on her only previous start in Class 5 company.
Parikarma (IRE)
Free-going mare. Reverted to front-running tactics/benefited from a good ride when readily ending a long losing run at Stratford (2¾m) last month. Subsequently finished 1½-length third of 3 against better opposition at Sedgefield (27f). A 1 lb reprieve may not be enough here.
Ebselysees
Revitalised by switch of stables when winning back-to-back staying handicaps at Perth in April/May. Faced competition for the lead when below that form both subsequent starts. Probably needs a career-best to resume winning ways following 12 weeks away.
Leave Her To Me
Clearly had issues since completing a double in a solid race for the grade at Warwick last May. Now 1 lb below that winning mark and step back in right direction (following a breathing operation) when chasing home well-ridden Parikarma at Stratford (2¾m) latest. Interesting if she can build on that.
Mistral Blue
Beat Parikarma by 4½ lengths when notching third career success in mares company at Uttoxeter (23f) in June. Wasn't revived by return to a mares 0-100 handicap when well behind that rival at Stratford last time, finding little. She is at least back on her latest winning mark.
Mistral Milly (IRE)
Maiden whose standout effort for current yard came when fourth at Warwick (2m) in March. Stepped up markedly in trip when beaten 5¼ lengths over C&D 12 days ago (again found to have bled) and clearly isn't the most robust.
Quick Of The Night
Hold-up type. Best recent effort when behind a less exposed pair at Worcester (2m) in July. Again showed ability remains when plugging-on fourth (beaten 15 lengths) at Stratford (2¾m) latest. Cheekpieces go back on and has stamina to prove over the extra furlong here.
