UPTON'S MIGHTY OAK has the potential to do better over a longer trip on handicap debut. She's narrowly preferred to Ratemenow, who finished last season on a high, while Footage Detectives is another potential improver in a tricky finale.

Timeform Comments

Ratemenow (IRE)
Hinted at ability in bumpers/novice hurdles. Attracted support and duly left previous form behind when 3½-length second on handicap bow at Newcastle (2½m) in March, chasing home a seemingly lesser-fancied stablemate. Solid claims to go one better on reappearance.
Slievehill (IRE)
Winning pointer who hit the frame in an Irish bumper. Only minor promise over hurdles when well-held fifth in 2m Kelso novice this time last year. Pulled up tackling heavy ground/3m for the first time on handicap debut at Wetherby (22/1) in January. At least worth a market check on return.
Footage Detectives
Sent off at long odds and hinted at ability in 2m novice/maiden hurdles over the spring. Type to do better now handicapping over a longer trip, especially if the market vibes are positive on return.
Return With Gold (IRE)
Fair middle-distance winner on the all-weather. Showed a bit second time up over hurdles at Newton Abbot last June. Hadn't been in much form on the Flat prior to an underwhelming handicap hurdle debut at Sedgefield (17f, 33/1) in late-August. Handicapper has at least given some respite.
Upton's Mighty Oak
Related to some above-average staying types. Showed ability when well-held fourth in a Hereford bumper/juvenile hurdle (2m, soft) last winter. Opening mark a lowly one and ought to make an impact now handicapping over a more suitable trip.
