Went backwards from a promising stable debut for David O'Meara last winter. Sold for only 2,000 gns out of that yard and went with no promise for new connections at Hamilton (1½m, soft) latest.
Lesley's Boy
Eighteen runs since last win in 2024. Found some form in pair of 6f Hamilton handicaps last month, latterly when 1½-length second to a next-time-out winner in this grade. Handles conditions and worth another go over 7f off an unchanged mark.
Big Apple Jack
First-time blinkers added when belatedly off the mark in a 13-runner handicap at Hamilton last month. That form has taken a few knocks, however, continued in good heart when ¾-length second at Ripon (good to firm) since. Ground should suit and still relatively unexposed over 7f, too.
Launch Time
Bidding for his third big-field handicap of the season when smooth-travelling second at Bellewstown (1m) in August. Well worth another chance following a forgivable first try sprinting at Laytown latest, for an Irish yard successful with their sole previous U.K. runner (over jumps) to date.
Saxon Prince
Fair maiden on all-weather for Clive Cox. Ran his best race for present yard (second start on turf) when beaten 3 lengths over C&D (soft) last time. Unlikely to benefit from such a strongly-run race on this occasion, though.
Head For Freedom
Sole success came in a Beverley claimer on second start in May 2025. Emerged with some credit when beaten 8¾ lengths off his tumbling mark at Redcar (7f) last time. More testing conditions an unknown here and Big Apple Jack likely his stable's leading hope.
Thunder Rush
Lightly-raced 3-y-o from a family that connections know well. Tighter in the betting/failed to improve on handicap bow at Newcastle (1m) latest. First-time cheekpieces added for turf debut and on a lowly mark considering his pedigree (half-brother to useful soft-ground winner here). Interesting.
Bossy Parker (IRE)
Ended a long losing run in classified event at Wolverhampton in March. Should be straighter for his 7-length fourth on return there (7f) last time. P.J. McDonald at least a positive jockey booking for this rare turf start (won on soft in Ireland earlier in his career).
Fair Isle Sioux
Lightly-raced 6-y-o from an up-and-coming yard (primarily National Hunt). Sent off at long odds and no form in a variety of events to date, though.
Long Shot
Maiden who placed for the fourth time in handicaps when 1¼-length third at Southwell (6f) latest. That form has some substance, however, stamina to prove tackling 7f for the first time away from quick conditions.
