Timeform View

RUBELLITE already has 3 wins for new connections this year and having found the much slacker pace against her at Newcastle recently, Stephen Hanlon's mare is fancied to get back on the up. She can get the better of Edwardtheninth, who bolted up over C&D last month and a 7 lb rise may prove on the lenient side. Lady of Clover and Wedonttellthetruth can fight out minor honours.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Edwardtheninth traded at a high of 12.00 and Betfair SP of 12.12 when winning last time, a race in which it raced behind.

Timeform Comments

Time Turner
Opened his account at Newcastle in January and ran right up to best in first-time blinkers when second of 7 at Beverley (2m, heavy) on penultimate start. Possibly still not over those exertions when well beaten at Ayr (15f, heavy) 9 days ago and the visor goes back on here.
Sisterandbrother
Four wins from 13 runs this year, latest in 5-runner event at Beverley (1½m) in July. Struggled to get seriously involved back on all-weather when seventh of 11 at this course (11f) 9 weeks ago and is now upped to 1¾m for the first time.
Rubellite (IRE)
Posted career best when winning 6-runner event at Newcastle last month. Not discredited but probably found the much slacker pace against her when seventh of 12 there (12.5f) just under a fortnight ago and she remains of interest back up in trip.
Hellion (IRE)
Fair form when third in a pair of 1¼m maidens for Brian Meehan last year. Didn't take to hurdling but offered a bit more than previously in either sphere for this yard when fourth of 6 in handicap at Wolverhampton (16.5f) just under 3 weeks ago (possibly flattered).
Wedonttellthetruth (IRE)
Made a winning handicap debut at Wolverhampton (1½m) in March. Upped his game when second of 8 at Nottingham on final start for Mark Loughnane in early-June and with headgear discarded, ran creditably on yard bow when third of 6 at former track (16.5f) recently. One to consider.
Edwardtheninth
Got off the mark at Newcastle (2m) in May for Ruth Jefferson. Made a winning start for new yard in 6-runner event over C&D just over 5 weeks ago. Up 7 lb but had plenty to spare there so not taken lightly.
Flag Of Eva
Yet to better modest form and again finished tailed off in an Epsom handicap (1½m, good) 4 weeks ago. Hopes pinned on first-time cheekpieces and/or the step up to 1¾m.
State Express (IRE)
Down the field on all 3 qualifying runs in August but could fare better now handicapping over a markedly longer trip.
Lady Of Clover (IRE)
Took her form up a notch to double her tally in Lingfield handicap (1½m) in August. Not discredited on both subsequent starts, latest when third of 9 at this course (16.5f) just over 2 weeks ago. Drops to 1¾m and fancied to be in the shake-up.
Minerality
Fitted with cheekpieces for second handicap start, found some improvement when third of 7 at Lingfield in August. Failed to back that up in a change of headgear at Kempton last month and the cheekpieces are quickly reapplied. Steps up to 1¾m.
Pop The Question
A 2½m winner over hurdles. Showed little in a trio of runs up to 1m in this sphere for Michael and David Easterby and it was a similar story back with her former yard when tailed-off ninth of 12 on handicap debut at Thirsk (1½m, good) recently. First-time cheekpieces on but can only be watched.
Twin And Tonic
Tailed off all 5 starts, looking ungainly on recent handicap debut. Makes all-weather bow and upped markedly in trip.
