Timeform View

POETS PRAISE looks an upwardly-mobile filly for the Ralph Beckett yard and she's fancied to follow up her facile handicap debut success. Lovers Leap has been expensive to follow so far in handicaps but her track position provides a viable excuse last time, with Wondrous Light also on the shortlist.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Poets Praise traded at a high of 2.44 and Betfair SP of 4.00 when winning last time, a race in which it raced prominently and travelled strongly early on.

Timeform Comments

Style Of Life (IRE)
Ground-versatile front runner who recorded back-to-back wins at Chester/Pontefract last summer. Sprung back to life in first-time cheekpieces when length second over 8.5f at Beverley in August but trailed home last of 9 over 7f there 16 days ago. Headgear goes off whilst tongue strap is back on.
Wondrous Light
Strong-travelling sort who recorded two wins around 1m in the spring and stepped up on her return from a short break when fifth of 10 in handicap at Sandown (1m, good to soft) 22 days ago. Respected having been dropped 1 lb.
Poets Praise
Made frame on second of 2 starts as a juvenile and with the benefit of her reappearance behind her, put it all together to make a winning handicap debut in a 7-runner handicap at Sandown (1m, good to soft) 41 days ago. Scored so easily there that she should be able to make light of a 7 lb rise.
Likeness (IRE)
Fair maiden for George Boughey. Built on first run for current connections when winning at Epsom (8.5f) last month and matched that form when never-nearer third of 8 in handicap at Epsom (8.5f, good to soft, 15/2) 11 days ago. Place claims from same mark.
Kamaway
Made a positive start to life in turf handicaps, winning at Yarmouth in May and at Salisbury in June. Below form at that latter track on her last 2 outings, though, so something to prove at present.
Rogue Citation (IRE)
Two-time winner from just 6 starts but didn't look entirely straightforward when gaining her second success at Newmarket in August. Has run to a similar level in defeat both starts since, most recently when third of 13 in handicap at Chester (7f, soft) 27 days ago.
Silken Bay (IRE)
Southwell maiden winner second time out in April but hasn't really kicked on from that, never figuring after a slow break when fifth of 6 in handicap (25/1) at Wolverhampton (9.5f) 37 days ago.
Lovers Leap (IRE)
Made the most of a good opportunity when winning maiden at Beverley in May. Beaten favourite in handicaps on her last 3 outings, though August's Newmarket second was a sound effort and she wasn't best placed in a race that became a test of speed at Lingfield 3 weeks ago.
Jojo's Legacy (IRE)
Respectable effort switched to handicap company when fifth of 8 at Cork (1m, heavy, 4/1) in May. Mark still looks a shade high having left Andy Slattery in the interim.
