Timeform View

DORIGO sets a tall standard on what he has achieved in much stronger company than this to date and looks tough to oppose back on all-weather for the first time since his debut. Edge of Desire is a newcomer to note, whilst Cool King and Christmas Is Comin look best of the others boasting previous experience.

Timeform Comments

Cool King
Lightly-raced colt who backed up his previous best (modest form) when fourth of 11 in a Newmarket novice (7f) in August. Not in same form when third in a 7f novice here 3 weeks ago but he's an each-way player here for all that handicaps will be more his bag.
Dorigo (IRE)
Space Blues colt who displayed race-by-race progress on first 3 starts, headed late on when second at Goodwood (6f) in July. Held his own in listed/valuable sales races in trio of subsequent outings and he sets a tall standard returned to calmer waters.
Inchi's Mooch (IRE)
Foaled April 24. €26,000 yearling, Calyx gelding. Half-brother to numerous winners, including smart 5f winner Primo Uomo and useful winner up to 7f Safari Sunseeker. Dam unraced. Yard's first 2-y-o runner of the season who is likely best watched.
Christmas Is Comin
Due Diligence gelding who improved on his debut form despite still looking green when second of 10 in a Wolverhampton novice (6f) 23 days ago, seeing out his race well. Possible he can do better again.
Denver Sluice
Iffraaj colt. Half-brother to French 1m-1¼m winner Marmara. 10/1, well held when last of 10 in a Leicester maiden (7f) on debut 17 days ago. This promises to reveal more.
Jaydee's Dream (IRE)
At long odds and held back by inexperience when last of 10 in a Musselburgh maiden (5f, soft) back in April. Gelded/left Stephen Hanlon ahead of this and likely best watched unless betting indicates otherwise.
Edge Of Desire
Foaled January 27. 10,500 gns foal, £28,000 yearling, Sergei Prokofiev filly. Dam 7f winner. Yard 3-15 with their 2-y-o newcomers at time of writing this season and she's one to note.
Maeveontime (IRE)
Foaled March 25. 26,000 gns yearling, Supremacy filly. Half-sister to several winners, including useful 7f winner Chatham House and winner up to 1¼m Chapter. Dam unraced half-sister to very smart winner up to 1m (stayed 1¼m) Aussie Rules.
Peacock's Way (IRE)
18,000 gns 2-y-o, Starman filly. Dam unraced sister to useful winner up to 7f Elegant Erin. Ran green and always behind in a Ripon novice (6f) on debut in July. Likely type for handicaps in due course.
Dun Eideann
Went the wrong way in a pair of starts following her debut effort (refused to race on third outing) but did nothing wrong when posting a good second in a Lingfield maiden (7f) in August, running on having conceded first run. Now her task is to back that up.
Eagle Storm
Hinted at ability when down the field at Doncaster (6.5f) on debut in August and similar form when 7 lengths third of 8 in maiden at Wolverhampton (7f) 52 days ago. Switched yards thereafter and another likely type for nurseries after this.
