KERRY GREY made up plenty of late ground at Wolverhampton on debut and Richard Hughes' filly is expected to build on that. Pontefract third Casting Coach and Chanter Le Blues, who made an encouraging start back in the spring, are also shortlisted.

Timeform Comments

Blackberry Bold
Havana Grey filly who is bred to be speedy and showed plenty of that attribute when third on debut in Nottingham novice in April but a long way below that level in a similar race at Wolverhampton next time. Hood goes on after 170 days off having had a breathing operation.
Blake's Lass
In need of the experience but showed promise when keeping on for second in 7-runner maiden at Redcar on debut in May and again looked a work in progress when fifth of 13 in maiden at Windsor (5f, good to firm) a month later. Probably one for nurseries after this (has had breathing operation).
Casting Coach
100,000 gns yearling, Havana Grey filly. Showed promise when third of 8 in maiden at Pontefract (6f, good) on debut 14 days ago. Yard's juveniles usually come on for debut and she should progress.
Chanter Le Blues (IRE)
100,000 gns Blue Point half-sister to several winners, including smart 6f/7f winner Great Wish and useful 7f winner Anthem National. Showed plenty to work on when third of 6 in novice at Windsor (6f, good) on debut back in May. Open to improvement.
Debutante
Mehmas filly out of an unraced half-sister to connections' high-class 6f winner Starman. Lost her action and trailed home last of 4 in novice at Salisbury (6f, good) on debut 75 days ago. Tongue strap on for first time.
Faster Love
Foaled February 26. Mohaather filly. Half-sister to 1m winner Enigma Code. Dam winner up to 6f (2-y-o 5.3f winner). Not an obvious debut winner on paper.
Go Go Girl
58,000 gns foal, Havana Grey filly. Related to plenty of fairly useful winners and showed promise when third of 10 in maiden (33/1) at Windsor (5f, good) on debut 24 days ago. Open to progress.
Kerry Grey
£100,000 breeze-up purchase by Havana Grey. Shaped very encouragingly when third of 7 in novice at Wolverhampton (5f) on debut 31 days ago, caught further back than ideal before producing the fastest finishing sectionals. Should improve.
Urumita (IRE)
Looked in need of the experience but made an encouraging start when fourth of 10 in maiden at Newbury (6f, firm) in August. Hasn't progressed from that in 2 starts since, but she went down by just a neck in a 7-runner novice at Wolverhampton (6f) 9 days ago.
