Timeform View

This longer distance is sure to suit BRILLIANT STAR given how she shaped in the Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot and she is preferred to Pierian, who looks ready for another crack at this level, particularly now upped in trip. Venetia can make it a clean sweep for the 3-y-os.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Pierian traded at more than 10 times Betfair SP and 2 times Betfair SP when winning on 2 of its last 5 starts: Peace Belle traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP twice and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 3 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Alla Stella
Just a Kempton novice win to her name but plenty of useful efforts in defeat this season, including when placed 3 times at this level. Capable of being in the mix once again if seeing out longer trip.
Dojin
Enhanced her good strike rate at Newmarket this summer but shaped as if amiss 3 weeks ago and has plenty to find even if bouncing back.
Lady Vivian (IRE)
Consistent filly who was second of 4 in a listed race at Sandown (2m) in July. However, that form is far from solid and she didn't convince over this far at Chester since.
Little Dorrit
Consistent rather than progressive but that could all change now stepping up in trip, though she needs a career best to come out on top here.
Miss Dolly Rocker
Narrow winner of a couple of handicaps last season for Daniel & Claire Kubler, including here (11.6f). Ended 2025 with a very good second of 22 in November Handicap at Doncaster on debut for this yard. Shaped as if needing comeback run in May but off again since.
Orchard Keeper (IRE)
Limitations exposed at this level already this season and she's up against it again.
Peace Belle
Bumper winner who confirmed herself useful in this sphere when third in listed race at Newmarket (2m), no chance with the winner. Bit to find with the principals here, though.
Personal Best
Consistent filly but she's likely to struggle at this level.
Venetia
Front runner who responded well to headgear when winning Goodwood listed race (1¼m, soft) in June and produced a career best when close third in Newmarket Group 3 2 weeks ago, sticking to task well. Likely to stay (dam won over this far) so respected despite penalty.
Aravalli (IRE)
Has thrived since going handicapping for current yard, making it 4 wins this summer at Windsor. However, her good run hit the buffers there last month and she's likely to be outclassed at this level.
Brilliant Star
Wide-margin winner of novices at Yarmouth and Kempton this spring. Unsuited by emphasis on speed in listed race at Goodwood but resumed progress when fourth in Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot, shaping as if this longer trip will suit. Solid claims back from a break and with tongue strap applied.
Littlecote
Landed the odds in novice at Newcastle in May and took a step forward after 4 months off when third on handicap bow at Newbury 3 weeks ago. This is a big ask, however.
Pierian
Progressive filly who was value for plenty extra when resuming winning ways in handicap here (11.6f) 5 weeks ago, doing well to overcome the emphasis on speed and shaping as if this longer trip will suit. Big shout for yard that has won 2 of the last 4 renewals.
