NEWS looked potentially useful when bolting up first time out at Southwell last month and with improvement on the cards, George Boughey's filly gets the verdict to defy a penalty. Lily Pink got back on track last time, but she may have to settle for a third silver medal from 4 outings, while Watch Party is also respected with this step up to 1m expected to suit. Of the newcomers, Red Curry makes most appeal before the benefit of market clues.

News (IRE)
Cracksman filly who looked potentially useful in making a taking winning start in 10-runner maiden at Southwell (7f) last month, picking up to good effect once she got the hang of things in the straight and shooting clear of a well-backed rival. Open to improvement.
Bintwillsea
170,000 gns Nathaniel filly who is bred more for stamina than speed but showed some ability while shaping as if better for the run when ninth of 10 in maiden at Ascot (1m, good) on debut 5 weeks ago.
Fifth Amendment (IRE)
Foaled April 9. €30,000 yearling, €65,000 2-y-o, Starspangledbanner filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including very smart 1½m-2½m winner Coltrane and winner up to 1¼m Warda Jamila. Dam unraced. Big outsider on debut.
Lady Ranya (FR)
Again sent off huge odds and ran to a similar level as on debut when fourth of 9 in maiden at Southwell (1m) last month. One for handicaps later on.
Lily Pink
Cracksman filly who made a promising start when second at Newmarket (1m) in August and quickly put a lesser effort behind when again finding only one too good back at Newmarket (1m) last month. Will be suited by longer trips in due course but she merits definite respect here.
Playhouse
Foaled March 29. Lope De Vega filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including 1¼m winner Symbolic Power and 2-y-o 6f winner Game And Set. Makes plenty of paper appeal for her top yard.
Red Curry
Foaled April 1. Sea The Stars filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including smart winner up to 17f The Euphrates and useful 1¼m-1½m winner Modus Operandi. Of obvious interest on debut.
Watch Party (IRE)
300,000Y Lope de Vega filly who was sent off at odds-on but could only run to a similar level as on debut when third of 9 in novice at Yarmouth (7f, good) last month. Will be suited by this step up to 1m and remains with potential.
