Timeform View

Both KINETIC IMPACT and Sin City have layoffs to overcome but they are in very capable hands, with the former marginally preferred. Thornthwaite could emerge as the pick of the newcomers and also needs factoring in.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Kinetic Impact traded at a low of 2.68 and Betfair SP of 2.70 when losing last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

Sin City
200,000 gns Too Darn Hot colt. Made a winning start on Lingfield all-weather debut in February and built on that with a very good fifth of 9 in conditions stakes over C&D following month. Off 6 months but can't be ruled out.
Assiri Heights (IRE)
Progressive Frankel colt who posted a very good fourth of 9 on his handicap debut at Southwell (1m) 17 days ago. The form pick back in novice company.
Beaujon (FR)
€60,000 yearling, Invincible Spirit colt. Half-brother to French 6.7f winner Blazing Spirit. Dam winner up to 1m (2-y-o 7f winner). The market can guide for this newcomer.
El Presidente
Promising Havana Grey gelding. Fourth of 11 in novice at Windsor (1m, good to soft) on debut in June. Can improve after a break.
Heart Throb (FR)
Toronado gelding. Brother to 7.6f winner Wedgewood Sapphire and half-brother to 3 winners, including French 6f-9f winner French Pegasus. Dam lightly raced. The betting can prove an accurate indicator.
Kinetic Impact
Fair maiden who posted a solid third of 4 in maiden at Salisbury (1m, good) in July. Big player if returning from a layoff at that level on polytrack debut (has been gelded).
Nascondino (IRE)
Coulsty gelding. Seventh of 10 in maiden at Lingfield (1m, all-weather) on debut 53 days ago. Needs to build on it.
Screen Actor (USA)
Well held both runs, coming in last of 5 in novice at Windsor (1m, good) 25 days ago.
Thornthwaite
£30,000 yearling, Havana Grey gelding. Brother to useful 2-y-o 6f/6.5f winner Panama, and half-brother to 1m winner Blue Artemis and Saudi Arabian 1m winner Maybury. A considered newcomer, especially if the market vibes are positive.
Virtue King
Son of Kingman who went with little encouragement when down the field in novice (40/1) at Kempton (1m) on debut 65 days ago. Gelded since.
Opal Rose
Workforce mare. Dam, 9f-2m winner, also won over hurdles. Doesn't appeal as a probable first-time-out winner on paper.
Garth Spirit
Yet to show any promise, visored when last of 6 in maiden at Lingfield (7f, all-weather) last time on final run for Robbie Llewellyn. Tongue strap goes on for the first time for new yard.
