Timeform View

NUIT D'ECLAIR has consistently given her running in similar company since her winning debut and this looks a good opportunity for her to deservedly make the breakthrough at this level. Siena Storm wasn't seen to best effect in the Prestige last time and remains with potential, whilst Topaz is also a leading player on the back of her recent win in Italy.

Timeform Comments

Celestia
Promising third on the July Course here on debut before battling well to win a 5-runner maiden at Carlisle (7f, firm) 14 days ago. Looked more like the middle-distance prospect she's bred to be when 1¾ lengths fourth of 8 to Aperoll in listed race at Sandown (7f, good) in July. More to come.
Chasing Daylight (IRE)
€170,000 Space Blues filly is from a smart middle-distance family and became a fairly rare winning newcomer for the yard in 9-runner novice (11/2) at Yarmouth (7f, good) on debut 24 days ago. Open to improvement up in class.
Dark Issue (IRE)
Fourth in the Albany at Royal Ascot before finishing runner-up in a Salisbury Group 3. Not disgraced when 2¾ lengths fourth of 5 to Silent Beauty in Firth of Clyde Stakes at Ayr (6f, heavy, 4/1) 20 days ago and she's amongst the form picks, for all she might not have the potential of some others.
Forest Berry
Improved to win at Wolverhampton and Musselburgh in August but her limitations have rather been exposed in 1m nurseries the last twice (wilted having looked the likely winner at Ripon last time).
Golden Ring (IRE)
From a typically good Coolmore family and she didn't need to improve upon her Cork third to land the odds in a 7-runner maiden at Dundalk (1m, 2/5) 7 days ago. This is tougher but she's likely to progress, though whether drop back to 7f will be ideal is up for debate.
Greek Symphony
Off the mark over 7f on all-weather at Lingfield in July but that form was no better than fair and she hasn't improved upon it in nurseries since.
Lola De Valence (IRE)
Wide-margin winner of an ordinary novice at Nottingham second time up. Encountered softer ground when seemingly found out by step up to a Group 3 at Salisbury next time and ran about as well as could've been expected when fourth in a Fairyhouse listed event (6f) last time.
Minkaas (IRE)
Promising third on first 2 starts and didn't really need to improve when getting up late in a 5-runner novice on the July Course (6f, good, evens) in August. Seemed to excel herself up in grade when 2¾ lengths fourth of 9 to Forbidden Fire in listed race at Doncaster (7f, good to firm) 28 days ago.
Miss Kodi (IRE)
Wide-margin winner of Chepstow novice on debut and bettered that form when fifth of 11 in Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot the following month. Another good effort when fourth in the Lowther at York in August but perhaps found the race coming too soon when disappointing at Salisbury 2 weeks later.
Nuit D'eclair (IRE)
Struck on debut in Newbury novice and acquitted herself well pitched into a higher grade on last 3 starts, making the frame at this level again when a length third of 11 to Acclamation Star in Dick Poole Fillies' Stakes at Salisbury (6f, good to soft) 36 days ago. Firmly in the mix once more.
Polyxena (IRE)
Overcame obvious inexperience when a 40/1 winner on debut at Windsor in July (6f) and defied a penalty in the manner of a useful prospect over the same C&D 3 weeks later. Beat the rest convincingly when runner-up in a C&D nursery 2 weeks ago but this is a much sterner ask again.
Sea Venture (IRE)
Looked good prospect in overcoming both inexperience and a troubled passage when taking 9-runner maiden at Haydock (6f, good to soft) in May and confirmed that she stays this trip after a 3-month break when 3¼ lengths sixth of 9 in the Rockfel Stakes over C&D 2 weeks ago.
Siena Storm (GER)
Made frame in valuable Goodwood maiden (which has worked out well) on debut at the end of July before landing the odds at Salisbury 2 weeks later. Denied a clear run when 3-lengths fourth to Light of Dawn in Prestige Stakes at Goodwood (7f) 40 days ago and should have more to offer.
Sweltering
Palace Pier half-sister to Holloway Boy who improved from her debut when recording an impressive success in an 8-runner novice (4/1) at Leicester (7f, good) 31 days ago, disputing the lead before quickening clear. Likely to progress further upped in grade.
Thuritha
From a family her yard know well. Improved again to make it third time lucky at Lingfield (1m) 2 weeks ago but found the company too hot when 13 lengths ninth of 11 to Musical Times in May Hill Stakes (50/1) at Doncaster (1m, good) 29 days ago. Easy to look elsewhere.
Topaz (IRE)
Runner-up either side of a mid-field effort in the Albany and put that experience to good use when landing the odds at Salisbury in July. Shaped well in a sales race here prior to displaying a good turn of foot to win an 8-runner listed contest at Rome (6f, soft) 3 weeks ago. Player up in trip.
