Timeform View

BOOYEA needs to shrug off a couple of poor efforts but he was fourth off 7 lb higher in the Irish Cambridgeshire only 3 starts back and he's back down in class. Unexposed 4-y-os Naoi and Hellorhighwater head the dangers.

Timeform Comments

Bold Style
Lightly raced but useful at best for Charlie Appleby. Picked up for £64,000 by this yard but hasn't shown much in 2 runs for them.
Hellorhighwater
Progressive form in maidens for Gavin Cromwell last season, getting off the mark at Cork. Successful return for new stable at Limerick in April and this is easier than the Irish Cambridgeshire he contested on his only start since. Makes all-weather debut.
Booyea (IRE)
On a lengthy losing run but went close in a competitive handicap at the Curragh and made the frame in the Irish Cambridgeshire this summer. Seems to have gone off the boil but handicapper has given him a chance back down in class. Makes all-weather debut.
Sonoran (IRE)
Career best when winning at Navan 5 weeks ago. 4 lb rise looks perfectly fair and he's effective on all-weather.
Bishopton (IRE)
Returned from 4 months off with success here (7f) in March. Mixed record on turf since but he's lurking on a dangerous mark returned to this surface after a break.
Daler (IRE)
Wide-margin winner over C&D around this time last year and responded well to headgear when doubling his tally at Leopardstown in June. Held form well since so player once again.
Exquisite Acclaim (IRE)
Resumed winning ways here (7f) in January off 1 lb higher but it's been a mixed bag since, tried in this headgear/tongue strap combination last time.
Naoi (IRE)
Much improved for new yard this season after over a year off, winning 2 of her 3 starts, including when beating 17 rivals in good style at Fairyhouse 18 days ago. Remains unexposed (unraced on all-weather) so a must for the shortlist.
Alissam (IRE)
Made a winning debut over 7f here last November before showing better form in defeat next 2 starts the following month. Off since and tongue strap applied for this handicap debut. Market can guide.
Temperance (IRE)
Highly tried after winning Naas handicap in May last year. Made much more of an impact returned to a more suitable level when third of 5 here (7f) last week.
Ohailbhic (IRE)
In good heart when winning back-to-back over C&D in March. Below par both starts on turf this summer but he seems more at home here.
Star Strewn (IRE)
Struggled for consistency with previous trainer but won an 18-runner handicap at Cork (40/1) 30 days ago on second start back with this yard, proving herself at the trip under a positive ride. Up 5 lb in much better race, though.
Glyndwr (IRE)
Dual C&D winner in this headgear last autumn. In good form this summer but last 2 starts were poor. Cheekpieces go back on.
Golddream (FR)
Built on solid debut form to get off the mark in C&D maiden in April but hasn't kicked on from that since for all he's had excuses on occasion, tried in headgear latest.
Brewing
Good placed efforts here early this year but has hindered his chances at the start since. Off 5 months. RESERVE.
Gavoo (IRE)
Course winner but struggling for form at present. Potentially well treated back on this surface, though. RESERVE.
Venetian (IRE)
Some good efforts here this year but record suggests he's better over 7f. RESERVE.
