Timeform View

GLEN KILN achieved by far the best hurdles form of these and will take plenty of beating if taking to chasing. Manoir de Mirande doesn’t always find much but should be suited by the drop back to 2m, while Takenasred is entitled to fare better than on chasing bow.

Timeform Comments

Glen Kiln (IRE)
Developed into a borderline smart hurdler last season, winning twice and gaining a first graded success in the Limestone Lad at Naas. Ended the campaign below form but now returns from 162 days off with chasing on the agenda and will take plenty of beating if transferring that ability to fences.
Minella Post
Fair maiden hurdler who went close in a conditionals event at Ballinrobe in August and shaped as if still in decent heart when only sixth in a stronger maiden at Navan last time. Runner-up on sole outing in points and should make a chaser but is probably one for handicaps later on.
Takenasred (IRE)
Fair hurdler who offered something to work on when 27 lengths third of 6 to Court Canyon in maiden chase at Down Royal in May. Entitled to do better but has a bit to find with some of these on hurdling form. Returns from a 159-day break.
Tatateo (IRE)
Won twice around 2m in maiden/novice company last season and, while his last 2 hurdles efforts have been poor, he did win on the Flat in between and arrives fit from that sphere. Capable of being involved if taking to chasing, though handicap chases are likely to be his main aim.
Mo Ghille Mar (IRE)
Useful winner on Flat last year. Only a fair type over hurdles, doubling her tally courtesy of a career-best effort (when allowed the run of things) at Down Royal (17f) in August. Soundly beaten in handicap at Ballinrobe on chasing debut, however.
Manoir De Mirande (FR)
Fairly useful novice hurdler who won twice last summer but tends to find little under pressure. Attracted support on chasing debut but was already tiring in fourth when falling at the last in extended 2½m maiden at Kilbeggan last month. Drop in trip should suit.
