All of these look progressive but DRUMBEAT is the clear pick on form after his third in the Beresford Stakes at the Curragh 2 weeks ago. Likely front runner Sword Salute is feared most.

Timeform Comments

Apulia Bay (IRE)
600,000 gns Too Darn Hot colt who has made steady progress, easily winning a match race on Nottingham nursery debut in August. Acquitted himself well when third in a prestigious class 2 event at Newbury 3 weeks ago and he promises to stay this far.
Bowdens (FR)
€30,000 yearling, Australia colt. Half-brother to 2-y-o 6f winner Neapolitan and French 2-y-o 8.4f winner Henry The Lion. Dam French 7f winner. Forged clear to win a weak Hamilton maiden on debut 3 weeks ago. Much more on his plate here but yard knows what it takes to win this.
Drumbeat (IRE)
200,000 gns Wootton Bassett colt. Progressive form, forcing a dead-heat in Gowran maiden third start. Shaped as if a step up in trip will suit when third in the Beresford at the Curragh 2 weeks ago and he sets a clear standard on that form.
Netherstream
Getting better with each run and he opened his account at the third attempt in 1m maiden here 16 days ago. That looked just an ordinary event for the track but doubtful he's reached his ceiling yet.
Sword Salute (USA)
Built on debut with victory in Lingfield maiden and caused an upset when making a winning nursery debut at Glorious Goodwood. Struggled when highly tried either side of that but was beaten only by a smart prospect at Epsom 2 weeks ago. Respected for a yard that has won this a record 5 times.
Wykehurst Park
Confirmed debut promise when landing the odds in a 9f Yarmouth maiden last month, doing well to win having had to wait for gap. This much tougher but he has potential.
