Timeform View

TANJEN has been going through a good spell of late, finding further improvement when winning comfortably at Hamilton last time, and she is taken to add to her tally. Next best could be Goyard, who got back on track when runner-up here on his latest outing, with Rogue Bullet completing the shortlist.

Timeform Comments

Goyard (IRE)
Made an encouraging return when third at Pontefract in June, but struggled for form subsequently until runner-up over this C&D 18 days ago. Was suited by a well-run race last time, though could get a similar scenario here. Interesting from his current mark.
Lil Brother
Successful twice as a juvenile, including a Windsor nursery during the summer. However, ended the year out of form and hasn't fared much better this season, well-beaten fourth of 6 at Yarmouth 25 days ago. Cheekpieces now added.
Thornaby Pearl
Has enjoyed a productive campaign, winning 4 times with his latest success at Windsor in August. Rare below-par effort when well held at Hamilton 19 days ago, but no surprise to see him bounce back given the form he was in previously.
Rogue Bullet (IRE)
Made a winning stable debut in good style at Brighton in June. Hasn't managed to kick on since, sixth of 7 over this C&D 18 days ago, though he's now dropped back down below his last winning mark. One to note switched to a visor.
Tanjen (IRE)
Opened account for the season at Hamilton in August and has continued in good heart since, fitted with tongue strap when scoring in convincing fashion back at Hamilton 19 days ago. Major player in her current form.
J Street
Gained a first success for this yard over C&D in June and also won at Doncaster the following month. Made the frame next 2 outings, but found run of good form coming to a halt when sixth of 9 at Catterick last time. Could fare better back at this venue.
Star Noir
Has gone the right way with each of his 3 starts this season, making all for a wide-margin success in novice at Catterick in August. The odds-on favourite didn't give her running last time, though, so task is now to build on latest effort back in a handicap.
Brazilian Belle (IRE)
Returned to winning ways over this C&D in February and followed up at Wolverhampton in March. Wasn't in the same form later in the spring, though possibly needed the run after 4 months off when fifth of 7 here 18 days ago. Tongue strap on first time.
Opal Storm
C&D winner in April who has scored twice since, landing 20-runner contest at Ayr last month. Has shaped as if still in good form both subsequent outings, denied a clear run when seventh of 10 here a week ago.
