Timeform View

The betting will likely prove most informative but fairly useful Flat winner CONFUSED appeals as a likely type on paper starting out for the Faye Bramley yard and with the booking of Harry Cobden an obvious plus, he could be the way to go. Sacre Chef was a comfortable winner of his sole start on the Flat in France and commands clear respect debuting for Dan Skelton, whilst Tokyo Tower is another likely type judged on his Flat exploits in Ireland.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Pass The Buck could be advantaged by a prominent position which looks likely in this field: Of the better-fancied horses, Tokyo Tower is most likely to be ridden furthest from the pace.

Timeform Comments

Confused (IRE)
Calyx gelding who improved markedly on his debut effort when off the mark in a Gowran maiden (9.5f) in June. Didn't kick on from that in 2 subsequent runs for Jessica Harrington but changed hands for 36,000 gns ahead of this and he's an interesting hurdling debutant with Harry Cobden booked.
Dundeelin (IRE)
Australia gelding. Half-brother to 6 winners on Flat, including smart 1m winner Dubai Mirage. Dam smart 1m-11f winner. Noteworthy newcomer who commands close market scrutiny with very good stable also responsible for Pass The Buck.
Houndswood Willow (IRE)
Mostly disappointing on the Flat but encouraging he took a step forward from his debut hurdles third when a much-mproved second in a Fontwell juvenile (2¼m, good to firm) 18 days ago. Likely he'll have to raise his game further to land this, however.
Pass The Buck (IRE)
Registered a wide-margin success in a first-time visor in a Fairyhouse claimer (1¼m) in July. Left Joseph O'Brien thereafter and he ran below his fair Flat form (in refitted cheekpieces) when third in a Market Rasen juvenile (17f) 2 weeks ago. Fancied to build on that.
Roly Mo
Masterstroke gelding. Dam (h111), 2m hurdle winner, sister to fairly useful hurdler/high-class chaser (stayed 21f) Rajdhani Express out of 2¼m-2½m winner Violet Express. Stable have enjoyed plenty of success in this discipline and another to monitor closely in the betting for positive vibes.
Sacre Chef (FR)
Karaktar gelding. Dam, 19f hurdle winner in France, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler (2m winner) Chef de Troupe. Ran out a comfortable winner of 6-runner minor event at Machecoul (14.7f, soft) sole start on Flat in France and he's an intriguing hurdling debutant representing top jumps stable.
Solar Jet (IRE)
Modest maiden on Flat who failed to beat a rival in pair of maidens for John S O'Donoghue earlier this year. Debuts over hurdles for leading jumps outfit but he looks the stable third string on jockey bookings.
Tokyo Tower (IRE)
Son of Japan who confirmed the promise of his debut effort when off the mark in a Curragh maiden (1½m, good to firm) in July, having run of the race but finding plenty for pressure. Changed hands/gelded since and he's a likely type now attentions switch to hurdling. Tongue strap on 1st time.
Valpovo
Fairly useful soft ground winner over 9.5f in France but failed to beat a rival in pair of early summer handicaps on Flat upon joining present stable. Switch to hurdling needs to have positive effect now.
Whistling Dave (IRE)
Waldgeist gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including fairly useful hurdler Rayna's World. Dam unraced. Couldn't be in better hands and the market should guide as one of 3 runners from this yard.
Two Steppin (IRE)
Poet's Word filly who was soon detached and offered nothing when pulled up in a Market Rasen juvenile hurdle on debut last month.
