Timeform View

William Haggas took this 12 months ago and can repeat the feat with his Cracksman colt IRON STONE LAD, who shaped well when running on late into second at Newbury on his recent debut and can take a sizeable step forward with his stamina unlocked more here. The Gosdens' Camelot newcomer National Anthem is bred to be useful and must enter calculations, while Coloniser, who finished a couple of places behind the selection at Newbury, is also very much one to consider.

Timeform Comments

Coloniser (IRE)
Well-related Siyouni colt looked green and made a promising start with fourth of 8 in novice at Newbury (7f, firm) 3 weeks ago. Seems sure to do better and firmly in the picture.
Glen In Rome (IRE)
Gleneagles colt who failed to beat a rival in maidens at Hamilton (1m) and Catterick (7f) last month. Significantly more is required.
Iron Stone Lad
Cracksman colt shaped well when an initial second of 8 in novice at Newbury (7f, firm) 3 weeks ago, running green and nearest at the finish. Sure to build on it, especially over this longer trip. Major player for top yard.
National Anthem
Foaled March 15. Camelot colt. Half-brother to 3 winners, including smart 1¼m-1½m winner in France Baroud, useful 5f winner Enchanting and useful winner up to 7f Bolt Action. Interesting newcomer for leading stable.
Royal Authority (IRE)
18/1, shaped encouragingly when fifth of 11 in novice at Salisbury (1m, soft) on his debut 29 days ago, not knocked about. This Dubawi colt can take a step forward now.
Youcanbetheone (IRE)
Sent off 28/1 but posted an encouraging third of 10 in novice at Ayr (1m, soft) 23 days ago, running on late. This Calyx gelding is likely to improve and needs considering.
