Timeform View

The market will no doubt be a decent guide as to what's expected but LION ROSE SIVOLA is selected to make a successful return/hurdling debut having found just one too strong in a couple of soft ground bumpers last season. Dan Skelton has unleashed plenty of runners this week and debutant Skibidirizz is put forward as the main danger, with standard-setter Mwabani taken to fill out third on his reappearance.

Timeform Comments

Lion Rose Sivola (FR)
£100,000 buy after winning sole start in Irish points and looked likely to follow up for much of the straight on his Rules debut in a C&D bumper last November. Shaped well again at Kelso subsequently only to tie up and give way close home in February. One to consider on return/hurdling debut.
Gili Island (IRE)
Well beaten in a couple of Punchestown bumpers earlier in the year (sent off short-priced favourite on debut). Has joined another top stable ahead of this hurdling debut and interesting to see what the market makes of him (yard second string on jockey bookings).
Mwabani (FR)
Plenty of promise when runner-up all 3 starts in junior events last season, though turned over at odds on for a second time when last seen at Exeter (17f, good) in March. Has more to offer in this sphere and should be bang there provided he's ready to roll.
One Cool Kid (IRE)
€38,000 3-y-o, Yeats gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler Allavina and fair hurdler One Cool Scorpion. Dam unraced. Tongue tied for debut. Market check advised.
On Subs (FR)
Beaumec De Houelle gelding who showed precious little in juvenile hurdle at Bangor (17f, heavy) on debut last November. Given time since but looks one for low-grade handicaps further down the line.
Skibidirizz (IRE)
Workforce gelding. Dam unraced sister to useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 21f) I'm A Game Changer. Of obvious interest on debut.
