PIPERS CROSS made a promising start for her new yard when second at Warwick on return, shaping as if the run was needed, and she shades the vote over the progressive Harbour Light, who reappears with his stable in red-hot form.

Harbour Light
Improving sort who went one better on second handicap start when successful at Stratford in March and followed up off 8 lb higher there later in the month. Yard in excellent form so big run can be expected on return.
Bright Legend (IRE)
Made the most of good opportunity in maiden at Sedgefield in April but has struggled since. Tongue strap back on.
Western George (IRE)
Placed on second of 3 starts in bumpers and some encouragement on 2 of his 3 starts over hurdles, though improvement required to defy this opening mark.
Icaque De L'isle (FR)
Produced a performance in keeping with pick of his French form when registering a first chase success on these shores at Lingfield in January. Gruelling race at Exeter next time probably left its mark at Southwell on final start. Back over hurdles on return.
West Orchard (IRE)
Solid record over fences, winning 4 times, and made the most of a good opportunity when off the mark over hurdles at Fontwell when last seen in April. 6 lb higher in better race now.
Shengai Enki (FR)
Winning hurdler for previous yard but few positives to take from his 4 runs for present connections.
Baltray (IRE)
Expensive to follow and shows his form sporadically. Can only be watched after 3 poor efforts this summer. Headgear on.

C&D winner who was in good nick without winning last season for Emma Lavelle. Dour stayer so probably needed the run when a promising second at Warwick on yard debut/return. Remains 1 lb below last winning mark.
Final Entry (IRE)
Ran up to best when a narrow winner in a first-time visor at Newton Abbot in June but remains high enough in the weights now given subsequent efforts.
Pappariche
Winner on the first of her 2 starts in points and signs of ability on 3 qualifying runs. Step up in trip sure to suit on handicap bow.
Bound For Glory
Wide-margin bumper winner at Stratford. Hit the frame all 4 starts over hurdles, including when third in this headgear at Worcester last time, though shaping as if this trip stretched him.
Poet's Muse (IRE)
Point winner. Allowed the run of things when just edged out on handicap debut at Taunton in April. However, that remains a standout effort having run poorly on both starts since. Headgear goes on.
Getuptheyard (IRE)
Maiden who finished runner-up off higher marks in 3 consecutive starts in early-2025. Failed to take to chasing after and probably needed the run at Uttoxeter on return and again at Worcester 4 months later. Headgear applied.
