Timeform View

BRYNMAIR GOLD made a promising start when a strong-finishing second at Kempton and he appeals as the type who can improve markedly from his first outing. He is taken to get the better of Cornichon, who also shaped encouragingly on debut when making the frame at Newbury, while War Chest could be thereabouts once more.

Timeform Comments

Cornichon (FR)
Showed promise amidst inexperience when fourth of 15 in maiden at Newbury (War Chest ahead in second) on debut 23 days ago, faring best of the group that raced near side. In good hands and can make his presence felt with improvement to come.
Dancingonthestars (IRE)
Little promise in a pair of maidens 4 months apart (gelded in the interim), again failing to beat a rival in 14-runner event at Newmarket (7f) 16 days ago.
War Chest
Showed a fair amount of ability when third in an Ascot novice on debut and ran to a similar level when runner-up in 15-runner maiden at Newbury 23 days ago. Helped by being well positioned last time, but he merits consideration.
Brynmair Gold
Shaped well on debut when second of 10 in novice at Kempton 11 days ago, beaten by only a neck having finished with a flourish. Yard's 2-y-os tend to come on plenty for their first run, so he rates as a likely contender.
At My Expense
Foaled April 9. 2,000 gns 2-y-o, Tasleet gelding. Dam 6f winner (including at 2 yrs). Worth a market check with yard having a winner and one placed from a trio of 2-y-o newcomers last month.
Binfluencer
Held back by inexperience on his first start, though the penny was dropping late when never-nearer fifth of 10 in maiden at Bath (5f) in May. Has something to find in this contest as he goes up in trip after 5 months off.
Seasail
Foaled March 6. 7,500 gns yearling, Tasleet gelding. Half-brother to 6f winner Margorie. Dam 2-y-o 5.7f winner who stayed 1m. Trainer 0-9 with 2-y-o debutants this season.
Angel Childe
Sent off at big odds (150/1) for her first start and was always behind when eleventh of 15 in maiden at Newbury last month. Looks to be up against it.
