She may not have won this year, but NAVY WATERS has held her form really well this campaign. Having finished with more to give at Down Royal recently, Willie McCreery's mare is put forward as the answer. Vanir finished runner-up in that same race, so she rates as an obvious danger, with last-time-out winner Letiza rounding off the shortlist in an open-looking finale.

Timeform Comments

Ankara (FR)
Useful filly who got back on track returned to handicap company in first-time cheekpieces when third of 10 at Down Royal (13f, good to soft) recently, despite getting caught wide from the outside stall. Back down in trip and not without a chance.
Apercu (IRE)
C&D winner who's made the frame at Cork and Down Royal this year. Ran poorly on last 3 outings and is hard to make a case for.
Queen Of The Bogs (IRE)
Won 9f maiden at the Curragh last summer. Reappeared with a promising second at Fairyhouse in June but faced a stiff task in a first-time hood at Listowel recently. Upped markedly in trip for her handicap debut and needs to take a big step forward.
Navy Waters (IRE)
Yet to score this term but in good nick, sixth of 10 at Down Royal (13f, good to soft) most recently, keeping on after not getting a clear run from 2f out. Could be worth chancing in what looks an open race.
Vanir (IRE)
Made it third time lucky at Fairyhouse in July. Has posted solid efforts in handicaps since, back on the up when second of 10 at Down Royal (13f, good to soft) just under a fortnight ago. Drops back in trip and fancied to be in the mix from 2 lb higher.
Fratas (IRE)
Shaped well on the back of a spin on the Flat for new yard when second in a big-field mares handicap hurdle at Galway in July. Race 3 days later may have come too soon and took a step back in the right direction in this sphere without threatening when seventh at Roscommon just under 6 weeks ago.
Morgana Blue
Barely needed to improve to get off the mark at the fourth attempt in good style making all-weather debut in 9-runner maiden at Marseilles Vivaux (1¼m) last November. Subsequently joined this yard for €45,000 and worth a market check on return/handicap debut.
Letiza (IRE)
Has made a really solid start for this yard and topped off a string of in-frame efforts with a deserved success back down slightly in grade in 15-runner handicap at Roscommon (1½m, good to soft) just under 6 weeks ago. Should remain competitive from 3 lb higher.
Stars Will Shine (IRE)
Won maiden at Down Royal last September under this rider and arrives in better heart than either of her last 2 form figures 12 weeks apart suggest, needing the emphasis more on stamina returned to 7f when ninth of 12 at Fairyhouse recently. Step up to this trip looks a positive move.
Cherry Hill Girl (IRE)
Fair 1m winner at 2yrs. Dipped below her previously consistent level and may well have not been cherry ripe after 4 months off when seventh of 16 at the Curragh (1m, soft) last week. Could fare better here. Yard also saddle Letiza.
Speckled Meadow (IRE)
Won this race last year but has struggled to get competitive this season, finding the race too competitive when well-beaten sixth of 9 here (11f, good to firm) 7 weeks ago (from 8 lb out of weights). Hard to see her featuring in this form.
