Timeform View

TEOEST continues to progress with experience and chased home a subsequent winner at Listowel last time. He meets several of these on much better terms than he would in a handicap and is taken to get off the mark. Saliba should benefit from the step back up in trip and might be the main danger if belatedly building on his Punchestown second, while Big Cypress was unlucky not to win at Gowran and is also firmly in the mix.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Teoest traded at a low of 6.20 and Betfair SP of 11.69 when losing last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

Ard Ri Na Heireann (IRE)
Tailed off in bumper and 2 Flat maidens.
Navy Guitar (IRE)
Winning hurdler, who ran to a fair level when 4¾ lengths fifth of 13 to Banbridge in maiden at Gowran in September. Hasn't built on that in 2 starts since, though, and is probably one for handicaps. Wears tongue strap for first time on the Flat.
Ossie's Lodge (IRE)
Bumper winner and fairly useful hurdler who showed plenty to work on when 6¾ lengths fourth of 13 to Brosna Town in maiden at Fairyhouse in June 2024. Unraced since.
Big Cypress
Fairly useful maiden who has finished in the frame on 3 of his 4 outings this year, gelded and unlucky not to win when head second of 10 to Ryefield Dasher in maiden at Gowran on latest, not clear run early in straight and forced to switch. Sets the standard on that effort.
Boptothetop (IRE)
Galileo Gold gelding. Half-brother to a winner abroad. Dam, winner up to 1m (2-y-o 6f winner), half-sister to smart winner up to 7f Matilda Picotte.
Heriot's Hope
24,000 gns yearling, Cityscape gelding. Half-brother to smart 1¼m-16.2f winner Mountain Bell and useful 10.3f-2m winner Future Investment. Dam unraced.
Nustty (FR)
First foal of a French bumper winner. Third of 7 in 1½m bumper in France for Alain Couetil. Makes Flat debut for new yard with a hood applied and the market should prove very informative in relation to expectations.
Royal Ballet Blue (IRE)
Elzaam colt. Better effort in maidens when sixth of 12 in Curragh maiden on debut in August. First-time blinkers applied on what is his handicap-qualifying run.
Saliba (IRE)
Improved for the step up to 9f when 1¾ lengths second of 14 at Punchestown (9f, good) on fourth career start but hung left under pressure when below that form back down in trip last time. Should be suited by this step back up in distance.
Teoest (IRE)
Teofilo gelding who continued a theme of progression when 2¼ lengths second of 11 to The Austrian in maiden at Listowel. That form has worked out well and, while drop in trip is a minor concern, he meets his main rivals on notably better terms here than he would in a handicap. Bold bid expected.
Helen's Blaze (IRE)
Stepped up from debut when 19½ lengths third of 8 to Solness in maiden at Bellewstown last time, though it still only amounts to poor form.
Isthatrightkatie (IRE)
Has shown little in varied events.
Betsy Trotwood (USA)
Bolt d'Oro filly. Showed only greenness when well beaten in 6f maiden claimer at Dundalk on debut.
