BACK STRAIGHT found listed company too much at Killarney a week ago but had opened his account in a maiden previously and can bounce back returned to a more suitable level. Minella Rockett completed a hat-trick, including a win over hurdles, and remained in top form when narrowly denied at Punchestown last time, so looks the main threat, while God of Power is respected on the pick of his efforts this year despite struggling in handicap company last time.

Timeform Comments

Back Straight
Showed plenty in Punchestown maidens almost a year apart, latterly landing the odds in a tongue strap in a 14-runner event in September. Found listed company too much at Killarney last time but must be considered back at a more suitable level.
Minella Rockett (IRE)
Completed a cross-code hat-trick when winning 9-runner handicap at Naas (11f, good to firm) in August, showing a terrific attitude once more. Again ran well when neck second of 6 to Golden Splendour in minor event at Punchestown last time. Should give another good account.
Retracement (IRE)
Curragh handicap winner last year. Turned in best effort this year when fourth at Leopardstown in July and can have a line put through his effort back at the Curragh last time. Cheekpieces now removed but type to get back on track now faced with a smaller number of rivals.
God Of Power (IRE)
Confirmed his debut promise at the second attempt when winning a 7f Limerick maiden on return. Has largely maintained his form since but struggled in a large-field handicap last time and will be suited by a return to this far more familiar scenario.
Neo Smart (IRE)
Won at Dundalk in February and has been shaping up well in turf handicaps, again running well when second of 14 at Punchestown (9f, good) last month.
Royal Bones (IRE)
Progressing gradually and placed again having been well positioned when third of 21 in maiden at Navan (1¼m, good) last month. Proved to be a disappointment on handicap debut, though, and needs to bounce back if he's to feature prominently here.
Ryefield Dasher (IRE)
Found enough improvement to finally get off the mark when winning 10-runner Gowran handicap by head from Big Cypress, just holding on having been seen to far better effect than the runner-up. Others preferred.
