Probably not a strong novice and a good chance for SHOWCASING GLORY to strike again after his Newcastle success. Boy Basilica and Al Alami are a couple of appealing newcomers to note in the betting.

Timeform Comments

Showcasing Glory (IRE)
Proved a different proposition to on debut when winning 7f Newcastle novice a fortnight ago, still looking green but staying on well from a few promising rivals. Bred to be useful and should progress further.
Al Alami
Foaled February 29. 31,000 gns yearling, Sergei Prokofiev colt. Half-brother to 2-y-o 7f winner Alarming. Worth a look on debut from low draw.
Boy Basilica (FR)
Foaled February 28. €30,000 yearling, St Mark's Basilica colt. Dam, 7f winner, sister to useful 6f/7f winner Thaler out of smart winner up to 11f (2-y-o 1m winner) Timepiece. Quite appealing on paper and yard have had a number of successful debutants this season.
Comeonfeelthenoise (IRE)
Down the field in novices 3 months apart, not knocked about behind Showcasing Glory at Newcastle. Likely to need more time.
Penselwood
30,000 gns Saxon Warrior half-brother to several winners, including French 10.4f-15.4f winner Blarney and useful winner up to 9f Serene Seraph. Bred to need time and distance and shaped in kind in 7f Southwell novice on debut just 9 days ago.
Radical Bay
Foaled April 15. 32,000 gns yearling, New Bay gelding. Closely related to 11f winner Mission Possible, and half-brother to French 7f winner Liwa Oasis and 1m winner in Japan Lost Secret, from the family of high-class winner up to 1½m (including Hong Kong Vase) Mogul. May need this introduction.
Red Tail (IRE)
Second on debut in a very thin maiden at Brighton but hasn't progressed and has looked less than straightforward. This isn't a strong race but he needs the switch to all-weather to bring about some improvement.
Shellyandback (IRE)
Foaled April 4. 15,000 gns yearling, Starspangledbanner colt. Dam 7f winner. Yard going well, including with newcomers (had a winner first time out at Southwell 3 weeks ago). Drawn widest but worth a look.
The Sergeon
Sergei Prokofiev colt who has quite a speedy pedigree so it was a little concerning he was starting out at 1m when finishing fifth of 10 at Windsor on debut in August for Oliver Cole. Not seen since and returns for new trainer.
Paddy Cool
Foaled January 24. Massaat colt. Dam lightly raced out of smart winner up to 7f (2-y-o 6f winner) Tropical Paradise. Yard's first two year old runner of the season and wouldn't be an obvious winner first time up on paper.
Pien De Dane (IRE)
Foaled January 30. €12,000 yearling, Arizona colt. Brother to 2-y-o 6.5f winner abroad Arizona Blue and half-brother to 7f/1m winner Fleetfootsoldier. Might be one for the longer term.
Little Copper
Always behind in C&D novice and Southwell maiden last month.
