POTTERS CHARM took his form over hurdles to a smart level last season, comfortably winning a Grade 2 at Fontwell early this year, and he is fancied to make a successful chasing debut with his yard enjoying a most productive spell. He gets the vote ahead of Jupiter des Mottes, who isn't taken lightly on first start for Dan Skelton.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Potters Charm traded at a low of 23.00 and Betfair SP of 25.00 when losing last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

Jupiter Des Mottes (FR)
Took his form up to a useful level over hurdles upon rejoining Nicky Richards last season, recording back-to-back handicap wins at Carlisle and Perth in April. Had finished well held on chasing debut, but can leave that behind following a significant stable switch (has had breathing operation).
Potters Charm (IRE)
Grade 1 novice winner over hurdles who showed smart form last season, landing the odds in a Fontwell Grade 2 (19f) in February. Found things tougher back at the highest level at Aintree when last seen, but he's a noteworthy recruit to chasing on the back of a breathing operation
Vicomte Le Brave (FR)
€75,000 3-y-o, £8,000 7-y-o. Half-brother to smart hurdler/chaser Vanillier (19f-3m winner) stays 4m, and French chaser Vif Ardent (2¼m-3m winner). Sole success from 15 starts in Irish points came in April, but pulled on latest outing in May. Has had breathing operation ahead of Rules debut.
Glen To Glen (IRE)
Fairly useful winner over hurdles for Joseph O'Brien last season. Making third start over fences on debut for this stable, won novice handicap at Perth (2½m) in August (form boosted since) and ran well when third of 5 here last month. Tailed off over hurdles at Chepstow on Saturday, though.
