This looks open so it may be worth chancing LADY DAPPLE ROSE, who was left poorly placed on her Uttoxeter return 4 weeks ago and Ben Pauling's 5-y-o should benefit from this step back up in trip. Barafundle Bay shaped much better than previously when fourth at Warwick recently, so she may emerge as the main threat if able to build on that here. Last-time-out winner Miracles Do Happen completes the shortlist.

Timeform Comments

Mahon Falls (IRE)
Placed in a bumper and maiden hurdles for Willie Mullins but little impact so far for this yard, shaping like a non-stayer when last seen at Stratford (3¼m, good to soft) in May. Drops back in trip for her return.
Miracles Do Happen
Gained a first win in maiden at Taunton (2m) in April for Tom Lacey and made it third time lucky for new connections in 6-runner handicap at Warwick (19f) 3 weeks ago, getting the softest of leads clearly having a strong influence over the result. Circumstances unlikely to be so favourable here.
Siorai (IRE)
Fair form on the Flat in Ireland for Jim Bolger. Has yet to fully match that form over hurdles and conceded first run under a change of tactics after 4 months off when second of 3 in handicap at Plumpton (2m, good to firm) recently.
Lady Dapple Rose (IRE)
Showed ability in 2 bumpers and bits and pieces of promise over hurdles for Harriet Dickin. Fell heavily first on yard debut at Fontwell in May and left poorly placed back from 4 months off at Uttoxeter 4 weeks ago. Should benefit from step back up in trip so shortlisted.
Zaraquelle (FR)
Little impact for Ed Dunlop but opened her account with plenty in hand at Wolverhampton in July. Reported to have made a noise when attempting to follow up a week later and now reverts to hurdles after 11 weeks off. Makes handicap debut in this sphere.
Barafundle Bay
Modest 11f Flat winner who shaped much better than previously when 6¾ lengths fourth of 6 to Miracles Do Happen at Warwick (19f, good to firm) 3 weeks ago, rallying strongly from unlikely position after making mistakes. Suddenly one to be interested in.
Yanka Blue (IRE)
Remains a maiden after 18 runs but again shaped better than the bare result when fourth of 11 at Market Rasen (19f, good) recently. Place claims.
