Timeform View

DANNY POWER looked a good prospect when making an impressive start at Listowel last month and can defy a penalty before having his sights raised. Contador is an interesting recruit from France for Gordon Elliott and could be the danger, ahead of Sea of Dubka, who took to hurdling well at Killarney for all she was a fortunate winner.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Danny Power traded at a high of 5.90 and Betfair SP of 5.12 when winning last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field and travelled strongly early on.

Timeform Comments

Bell Ex Too (IRE)
Fair on the Flat and immediately ran to a similar level over hurdles as he made a successful start at Ballinrobe (2¼m) last month, still plenty to do out wide entering straight but staying on well to lead close home. Should have more to offer and yard has won this a couple of times in recent years.
Danny Power (IRE)
From a good family and having been well backed, looked an above-average juvenile as he made a winning start in well-run 2m Listowel hurdle last month, drawing clear impressively. Useful prospect and can defy a penalty.
Contador
Runner-up on second of 2 starts in France earlier this year and picked up for 120,000 gns from Juddmonte. No surprise to see him make an impact first time up in this sphere for new yard (won this race in 2020 with subsequent Triumph winner Quilixios, also purchased from France).
Dunmore (IRE)
Half-brother to several Flat winners, including the smart middle-distance performer Armande. Down the field in Leopardstown maiden and Listowel hurdle (beaten 26¼ lengths by Danny Power). Hard to fancy.
Kenough (FR)
Twice-raced fair maiden on the Flat for this yard. Should be clued up for his first go over hurdles and worth a look.
Mahzuz (IRE)
Well beaten on debut in Navan maiden in March and not seen since. Some hope for him in this sphere on breeding (from the family of useful hurdler Royal Eagle).
Palace Tyne (IRE)
Modest maiden on the level, well beaten in 2 runs for this yard this year 6 months apart. Good Flat pedigree but difficult to recommend on hurdles debut.
Sea Of Dubka (IRE)
Opened her account in 13f Down Royal handicap in July and fortunate to supplement that success at the first time of asking in this sphere at Killarney 8 weeks ago (left clear last), albeit she took to the job. Should go well again under a penalty.
Julie's Moon (IRE)
From a good jumping family but little impact in Listowel hurdle (behind Danny Power) and Bellewstown maiden 10 days apart last month.
