A reproduction of the form SANDITON showed when runner-up over C&D last time could be good enough for a second C&D success of the campaign. Midnight's Dream and Cuban Fiesta may provide the main opposition.

Timeform Comments

Midnight's Dream (IRE)
Continued run of good form in a change of headgear (cheekpieces) having eased to a career-low mark when fifth of 14 at Leicester latest. Likely to be on the premises under Jack Nicholls.
Sanditon (IRE)
Off the mark at Chelmsford in February and doubled his tally in ready fashion over C&D in June. Back on form when second of 11 over C&D 15 days ago and obvious claims under Harry Vigors.
Cuban Fiesta
Won 6-runner classified event at Lingfield (7f, all-weather) in February on his final run for Denis Quinn and back from a 7-month break with a creditable third over C&D 3 weeks ago for new trainer Gihan Arnalda. Enters calculations.
So Chic (IRE)
C&D winner. Best effort this year when second over C&D in April. Absent since a lesser run over 8.6f here in May so peak fitness has to be taken on trust.
Create (IRE)
Can blow her chance at the start but got her head back in front in Ffos Las classified (1m) event in July. Respectable 6 lengths third of 11 over C&D 15 days ago.
Blue Jay Way
Back-to-back wins last autumn, including C&D, but operating below his best in the first half of the year so hard to know what to expect back from 113 days off. Cheekpieces off, first-time hood on.
Mintana
Course winner who was a good second over C&D last month but well behind Create back here since.
Lhebayeb (GER)
Struggles for consistency nowadays but scored in a classified event over 8.6f here in March and recorded another respectable course effort when fourth of 8 (8.6f again) 14 days ago.
Uncle Albert (IRE)
Sole success came in a Cork handicap (7f) back in March 2024. Has run poorly all 4 starts for current yard and could only consider if backed in a change of headgear (first-time visor for blinkers).
