Timeform View

WESTERN MODEL won over hurdles in July before running well when second at Downpatrick last month and is likely better than his third at Sligo suggests 2 weeks ago. He makes plenty of appeal at a course he's gone well at previously. Harbour Highway shaped as if ahead of his mark at Listowel and the drop back in trip rates a plus in a switch of headgear. Aurea Fortuna should be fitter after his recent fourth.

Timeform Comments

Secret She Keeps (IRE)
A one-time fairly useful chaser. Has been lightly raced in recent seasons and shown nothing in her recent efforts to suggest a return to winning ways is imminent.
Harbour Highway (IRE)
In good heart over fences for most of the spring, winning an amateur riders handicap at Leopardstown before twice finishing runner-up. Shaped as if still ahead of his mark returned to this sphere when 12¼ lengths third of 14 to Whateys Quest at Listowel last time. Blinkers now replace visor.
Mags Nelson (IRE)
Improved form in handicap hurdles when winning at Tramore (2¾m) and at this course (3m) last season. Shaped as if sharper for the run when fourth of 8 to Only For Our Man in maiden at Sligo on chasing debut on back of 12-month absence. Wears first-time cheekpieces and should have more to offer.
Aurea Fortuna (IRE)
Won handicap hurdle and a handicap chase last season. Finished the season out of form but took a clear step back in the right direction when 10¾ lengths fourth of 14 to Potters Pal at Listowel last month. One to consider.
Giant Haystacks (IRE)
Won a 0-100 handicap chase in good style at Wexford in July, but was let down by his jumping next time and then laboured in soft conditions at Wexford in August. Hard to fancy on that effort but remains well treated on hurdling form and is worth a market check.
Western Model (IRE)
Won handicap hurdle here in July and shaped well when runner-up off his lower chase mark Downpatrick last month, going down only to a progressive sort. Split a pair of next-time-out winners when third to Mini Getaway at Sligo last time. Bold bid expected back at this venue.
My Cullen (IRE)
Not the most consistent and is still looking for first success, but has finished runner-up on 2 of his last 3 starts, chasing home Springboard in handicap at Galway on latest. This is tougher, though.
Fr Gilligansvoyge
Veteran who has enjoyed an excellent summer, winning 3 times and placed on 4 other occasions, but both the handicapper and a busy campaign has seemingly caught up with him on last 3 starts.
Revolut Ned (IRE)
Successful again in a point prior to a good run on handicap debut in chase at Tramore (2¾m, good to soft) in May. Has failed to build on that in 2 starts since and now goes without cheekpieces or a tongue strap. Races from just out of the handicap.
Subset (IRE)
Fair cross-country chaser who remains with no recent form outside of such events. Races from 13 lb out of the handicap.
