This could be the time to catch BALLYCAMUS, who was beaten only by the subsequent Kim Muir winner in this equivalent race at Chepstow on his return last year and won off this mark at Ludlow in December. Ben Solo has more wins in him so rates the main threat with this step up in trip likely to suit, with the thriving King Roly another to consider.

Timeform Comments

Viroflay (FR)
Jumped well and proved game when scoring at Kempton (3m) in December. Didn't jump with his usual fluency over the different fences in the Topham but he completed a simple task at Newton Abbot in May. Likely front runner and promising rider looks good value for his claim.
Etalon (IRE)
Responded well to headgear (left off here) and an attacking ride when making all at Ascot (19f) last winter. Goes well fresh but shaped like a non-stayer when upped to this trip at Perth on return 3 weeks ago.
Cruz Control (FR)
No impact in 2 outings before Christmas and only fifth in the Freebooter at Aintree in April, a race which he'd won in the previous 2 seasons. Ran poorly tried in headgear at Bangor the following month so has a bit to prove now.
Scarface (IRE)
Looked as good as ever when winning a handicap at Newton Abbot for the second successive year in April. Shaped well in the Badger Beers on his return last season but this trip is probably the limit of his stamina.
King Roly
Arrives at the top of his game having won 2 of his last 3 starts, including when value for extra at Worcester last week. Race fitness could prove an asset here so he must be respected under a penalty.
Neon Moon (IRE)
Won this equivalent race at Chepstow 2 years ago. Mixed record last season but he did score at Ascot in November off 1 lb higher and this has likely been the target once again given his owners.
Ben Solo (IRE)
Much improved for the switch to fences last season, making all at Chepstow in November and runner-up twice after. Has since had a breathing operation and remains of interest off this sort of mark over a trip he's likely to stay (3m point winner).
Ballycamus (IRE)
Sketchy jumper who had a mixed record last season, though he was runner-up in this equivalent race at Chepstow on his return before winning off this mark at Ludlow in December. No surprise if he put his best foot forward with yard in top form.
Gyenyame
Landed the odds in a maiden at Exeter in November 2024 but expensive to follow in small-field events since, again racing lazily when second at Taunton when last seen in March.
